Very sweet movie! Great singing and acting
This is a very sweet movie about an orphan who grows up and returns to the orphanage to help. She meets up with rich man's son Lu Kei who asks Chan to pretend to be his fiance while his father is recovering. The plot thickens when the real girlfriend shows up. Chan does lots of different singing here and she did a great piece of singing both male and female roles of the chinese opera Princess Chang Ping. Her parents are in this movie as well and does an opera piece as well. Lydia Sum is Chan's sidekick and is hilarious. Want something pure to watch and great singing - watch this! |

Not a bad fare from the 1960's.
Chan Bo-chu, Lui Kei, Lydia Shum, etc......makes this quite a good fare, although the sound quality isn't so good. |
