Discover the classic Chinese folk tale about ten siblings with extraordinary powers in the TVB period drama Ten Brothers. Shot in 2004 and aired on TVB in 2007 as the Lunar New Year drama, Ten Brothers turned into a massive sleeper hit and became one of the highest-rated programs of the year. In a rare move, TVB even aired the series again on rerun only half a year later. Although Ten Brothers has already been adapted for film and television numerous times, TVB's take on the story - fusing age-old lessons with new-age special effects and makeup - proved to be very successful and popular, especially among families and children. Starring together for the first time since they met on the set of Down Memory Lane in 1995, real-life husband and wife Frankie Lam and Kenix Kwok lead the cast as the loving, but overwhelmed parents of ten very special children. The drama's colorful ensemble cast includes up-and-coming artists like Chris Lai, EEG singer Don Li, Jack Wu, and Matt Yeung, plus television starlets Nancy Wu and Leila Tong and established actors Ellesmere Choy and Liu Kai Chi.

One day, a deity descends from the skies with ten pearls. Wealthy girl Hau Yee (Kenix Kwok) accidentally swallows the pearls and becomes pregnant before marriage, much to the wrath of her family and the village. To save her from execution, poor dessert vendor Tai Ha (Frankie Lam), who secretly loves Hau Yee, claims responsibility and they get married. Hau Yee gives birth to ten boys who grow up overnight: Sharp Eyes (Chris Lai), Big Ears (James Lam), Triceps (Jack Wu), Naughty (Don Li), Fly Five (Nicky Law), Copper Head (Kwok Jing), Long Legs (Matt Yeung), Land Breaker (Russell Cheung), Big Mouth (Yip Wai), and Crying Baby (Jaffery Wong). The adult-sized children bring waves of chaos, and it's not long before two of the boys wander off and disappear. After sending away three other kids, Tai Ha and Hau Yee toil hard to bring up the remaining five children who soon develop some strange super powers to complement their strange appearances. Though the kids try to keep their powers a secret, they find themselves in a dangerous bind when they attract the attentions of some unscrupulous bad guys.

Product Information

KEI HAU YEE(Kwok Ho Ying, Kenix) gives birth to ten babies after swallowing some magical crystals. Her father kicks her out of the family. She is then taken in by CHAN TAI HA (Lam Man Lung, Frankie), who had been secretly loving her for a long time. The babies grow up in one night. Two of them, BIG EARS (Lam Yuen Ying) and TRICEPS, (Wu Lok Yin), run away in the chaos. HA and YEE have difficulties in keeping the family, so they are forced to send the fourth and tenth sons, NAUGHTY (Li Yan Long) and CRYING BABY (Wong Ping Hei), to a circus and sell the ninth son, BIG MOUTH (Ip Wai). They live with the other five sons, SHARP EYES (Lai Lok Yi), FLY FIVE (Law Kwun Fung), COPPER HEAD (Kwok Jing), Long Legs (Yeugn Ming) and LAND BREAKER (Cheung Chi Hin).

However, the brothers' strange looks and gifted talents bring them nothing but troubles. They are constantl y used by a government official CHOW KA LAI (Choy Tsz Kin) and a general MAN SAI HUNG (Liu Kai Chi).

I love this series very much. This is a great series for the whole family. Even though the ending is pretty sad but its worth the watching. I will rewatch it over and over again.

This drama is cute and good for children to watch. This was ranked number one last year with high ratings, and I must agree. Although with computer effects, it was sure a good drama series especially the little
kid with his super crying powers, aww so cute but such a sad ending...
