The first concert of Teresa Teng! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
It is the first concert of Teresa Teng. She is one of the most remarkable female singer in the world who can melt listeners in any languages - Mandarin, Japanese, English, Taiwanese, Cantonese, and even Indonesian (very rare songs). Before she performed this concert, she had performed many shows in her life. This DVD is very perfect that her fans have to buy.

This is definitely a DVD worth buying if you're a Teresa Teng fan. The concert doesn't compare with the energy and gimmicks that artists today need to get the audiences. Remember, this was 1976. You can tell Teresa is a little inexperienced here, but her voice is just as sweet and addictive as ever. This was obviously a recording made for air on TVB. The audio quality is good although you can hear some microphone feedback from the concert. For 26 bucks, spend the money. See and hear a real artist that are few and far between these days. And remember, do NOT buy counterfeit goods. It hurts us all.

Our Beautiful Teresa Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
We don't have too much video of Teresa when she was very young and that's why I treasure this DVD. At 23, her voice and concert performance were still in development. Despite the very poor quality of the video and the audio, it is clear why Teresa is such a star. She is utterly sincere.

The DVD production, it design and its booklet is top notch. I love the cover photo of Teresa.

Why is it that the Teresa Teng Foundation in Taiwan cannot release any DVDs of her Teresa's video performances complete, without any edits? This is very frustrating. I don't want only the best of, I want ALL OF! Get it? Give us ALL of Teresa, because we deserve it all! Even when Teresa is not at her best, we want to see it.

Can you guys please try to put out her Taiwan TV concerts complete, and unedited? Also, where is Teresa's Las Vegas Concert and New York City Concert? Can someone please make them available?

Well......... Customer Review Rated Bad 3 - 3 out of 10
This is in the 1976, Teresa was only 23, young and not used to having many big big show like this concert so reporters at that time didn't think it was anything spectacular, was written inside the nice booklet which i like, rare photo too about the whole concert, her arrival and etc. What the concert show was that Teresa's giving her best shot. Although it didn't seem like the best as age was a problem and experiences as well, she didn't mingle at all with the audiences as when her concert in 1982 in Queen Elizabeth Stadium. And like her previous one, it didn't show all footage in the concert either. And the music video (sort of) at the end of the concert was a treat but a raw one too, leaving me begging for more. It's nice to see it as a music pleasure, you can indulge in her voice and her face but not when you seriously expecting real concert, i think buyer here are used to it anyway but i will continue get those new dvd as i don't live in Teresa Teng era and would like to see the different side of her performance, great singing but what a pity, it didn' have much sensational presence.
