August 11, 2007 Love, Love Love!Double disc of bliss!! ^0^
Epik High somehow makes hip-hop fun to listen to. I mean...forget the whole 'bling bling' business and half-naked women drapped over rappers in their MVs. Epik is about lyrics. Epik is about bringing to light, issues in society that people prefer to sweep under the rug or are simply ignorant about. and the best thing is, they do it in a way that is easy to digest.
So with that in mind, Epik continues to explore serious issues in Remapp, as they've done in their previous albums, and like their past work, they also present to the fans, fun and light-hearted sounding tracks that are, well - addictive. ^^
A much darker and moodier album than the previous 3....but that's what makes it so attractive and interesting.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)

Fly To The Sky Vol. 7 - No Limitations

August 11, 2007 No Limitations to my praise! This album made me an instant fan of FTTS. ^^
I listen to a lot of different music and own many albums, but never before have I liked EVERY SINGLE TRACK in an album. For me personally,
No Limitations is the first album I would not hesitate to give a solid 10/10 for. In my humble opinion, it is simply a masterpiece. I've been spinning the whole album from track 1 to 14 over 100 times since the day it was officially released, and I still yearn to listen to it more.
I haven't listened to their previous albums yet, so I can't make comparisons, not that it matters. Nothing can take away the merits of this album.
The variety of songs, the singing styles and the way the producers of each track were able to work with Brian and Hwany and bring out their individual strengths just amazes me. Take track #5 'Go Ahead and Hate Me' for example. WOW!!! I didn't even know Brian was capable of singing like that! We all know how breath-taking Hwany's vocals are, but look at Brian go!!! It has got to be one of the stand-out tracks of the album! ^.^
Then there are the ballads. People who think Brian's voice is weak and lacks "oomph," I'd like to suggest you go listen to track #4, 'I Can't Have You.'
Not a real ballads type person? well there's a couple of smooth R'n'B tunes thrown into the mix, as well as some upbeat and fun tracks guaranteed to have your toes tapping to the beat. ^^
And when you get to the end of the album....what does FTTS succeed in doing?? They make you hunger for more with their final track 'Kabyeoun Sarang.' This is one fantasically awesome song with an intro that might have you confused, thinking you're at the beginning of the album. Personally, I would have preferred for the final track to be the first track instead coz it would've made a great opening song, but I understand now why it's last. ^.^
I guess for those who were apparently 'disappointed' with this album, it just boils down to personal taste and what appeals to you musically, although for the life of me, I can't begin to fathom how anybody who's into k-pop can NOT like this album. 0_o whatever floats your boat I suppose....but for me, No Limitations certainly floats my boat. It's ear-candy for me every time I play the album.
Hwany and Brian did well. ^.^Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)

Shin Hye Sung Vol. 2 - The Beginning, New Days
Shin Hye Sung Vol. 2 - The Beginning, New Days
(17)Our Price: US$14.99List: US$20.99Save: US$6.00 (29%)August 11, 2007 Shin HyeSung...the VoiceI've been eagerly anticipating his 2nd album since the release of his first one. and Sungie DID NOT disappoint.
His vocals are to die for!! Ballads are his strength so it's not surprising that the majority of this album is made up of beautiful ballads, of which I am especially fond of tracks 6,7,9,11 and 12. Track #2 was a great way to start the album. Light, fun and easy to listen to. Did Rain (Bi) really write the lyrics for this???
anyway, the title track, First Person, is however surprisingly bland. maybe it will require a few more listens to grow on me...I'm giving this a 9/10. ^0^Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
