Decent

I've picked up practically everything Anna Tsuchiya has put out. I've also enjoyed everything as well, to varying degrees of course. I decided to get this after I picked up her Spin Aqua cd and Strip me? (both recommended) This mini album only has lasts about 20 minutes, but you really get a sense of what Anna's music is like. The songs are good overall and Anna's english isn't bad at all. My problem with this cd are the lyrics, I've went through the booklet and just wondered why someone didn't just help her with a few things to make the lyrics truly understandable. I really think she is hitting her groove now with her newer releases, but it is always nice to hear an artist's first works. |

Not Bad

This is anna Tsuchiya's first solo album after Spin Aqua.The cd is almost entirely in English except for a few lines of Japanese in My Lullaby. Since Anna is half American, her English is perfect. Each song has a driving rock sound. Some songs like Taiste My Skin and Ah Ah are fun, and sexy. Others like Frozen Rose are more ballad-like, but with that rockish sound. Overall a pretty good cd if you like female rock singers. The reason for my less than perfect rating is because of the shortness of the album. Also I don't think all the songs are that great. My favorites are Frozen Rose, Somebody Help Me, and In My Hands. |
