The Angry River (Hong Kong Version) VCD

Action heroine Angela Mao stars in the 1970 martial arts period piece The Angry River. This flagship Golden Harvest production was the first of Mao's many collaborations with director Huang Feng, producer Raymond Chow, and budding actor/stunt director Sammo Hung in the 1970s, a team that would go on to make wuxia classics like Lady Whirlwind, Hapkido, and When Taekwondo Strikes. The Angry River also co-stars Gao Yuan, Pai Ying, and Han Ying Chieh. The notorious Lunar Sect have been killing people left and right in their ruthless bid to dominate the martial arts world. Respected leader Lan Tin Lung calls on all swordsmen to unite and fight against this great evil, but he himself is struck down by the Lunar Sect's highly poisonous secret weapon. With Lan's life hanging on a thread, his daughter Feng (Angela Mao) boldly strikes out on her own for Soul Valley to find a precious herb that can cure her father. But many dangers and trials await her on the road.

太陰教主七絕閻君為獨霸武林，到處殺害江湖正派，其獨門暗器「七絕閻王刺」奇毒無比。一向維護武林正義之兩儀堡堡主藍天龍，為免江湖浩劫，廣邀各派掌門共商對策，正當眾掌門齊集之際，藍天龍已經中了七絕閻王刺，危在旦夕。藍天龍之女藍鳳為救治其父，隻身向鬼愁谷進發，尋找黑靈芝。藍鳳幾經周折終於來到鬼愁谷，鬼愁谷谷主被藍鳳之孝心感動，賜予黑靈芝，並廢去鳳之武功。華山派弟子馬家棠得悉後，竟強奪黑靈芝，幸得天山冷雨寒相助。經過重重險阻，鳳終取得靈芝回家，但其父已死，乃自吞黑靈芝，功力倍增。會同冷雨寒，殺左右判官、破招魂毒陣、戰陰險無比之鐵爪手，險中取勝，終殺七絕閻君為武林除害。

Lan Tin-lung, master of the Liangyi Castle, calls upon all upright swordsmen to help wipe out the notorious Lunar Sect. But he is soon fatally wounded by the Sect's leader nicknamed King Hell. Lan's daughter, Lan Feng, sets out to find a precious herb capable of curing her dying father. The herb she eventually gets,leading her to a series of hectic confrontations with those who also covet the priceless medicine. She befriends Leng Yu-han, who saves her from being molested by a wicked man, Ma Ga Tueng, who is of the Hua Shan School. Lan Feng returns home to find the entire castle in an aftermath of the attack by Lunar Sect. Her father is among the dead. In a fit of despair, she swallows up the herb, and her ability tremendously strengthens up instantly. With Leng's help, she storms the stronghold of the Lunar Sect. King Hell is killed in the battle finally.
