導演介紹：
拉斯馮提爾（Lars Von Trier）是現今被認為最具原創力的導演之一，1956年出生於丹麥，大學曾修讀電影，因而開始了短片的創作。1984年他的首部劇情片【犯罪份子】，一炮而紅開始揚名國際，贏得坎城影展的高等技術獎，及芝加哥、曼漢姆影展多項大獎。從此他的劇情片一直是坎城影展力邀的名單，他也開始了「歐洲三部曲的拍攝」。除了【犯罪份子】外，於1987年完成【瘟疫】，1911 年完成【歐洲特快車】。
1995年他與其他三位導演共同簽署了(Dogma95)宣言，他們所要傳達的目標是對現代電影的一種反動，在拍攝電影時要遵守手持攝影機、不打光、現在 收音等規則，他依此教條拍攝了【白痴】、【破浪而出】、【在黑暗中漫舞】並稱為【良心三部曲】。【厄夜變奏曲】是自2004年【美國三部曲】的首部曲。問世後即讓讓人覺得驚訝，2005年續集【命運變奏曲】依然讓人驚艷。
拉斯馮提爾繼【美國三部曲】後，回到【白癡】式的遊戲人間。這回向公司文化開刀，虛擬網路大主顧要見老闆，虛擬公司老闆找演員假扮他，結果演員玩得不亦樂乎。雖是玩世之作，自嘲與諷刺，加 上演員的“癲”放演出，大家愈看愈開心。
When decisions needed to be made at the office, the owner invented a nonexistent company president to hide behind. Now, forced to bring the "Boss" face-to-face with potential purchasers and employees, he hires a failed actor to play the part. Much to everyone's surprise, the unmasked boss plays the ultimate part by becoming a hero.
