《大吉利是有限公司》劇本另闢新猷，是一闕失散已久三兄弟重遇後，試圖修復親情的故事。大佬法蘭（奧雲韋遜 飾）、二佬彼德（艾哲倫保迪 飾）及細佬積克（積遜舒華薩曼 飾）自從於年前摯愛父親的葬禮後，再也沒聯絡過。一年後的今天法蘭率先破冰，並決定安排一趟橫跨印度的火車探險之旅，企圖從中探索自我，借機重拾久違了兄弟情誼。
沿途中法蘭一如以往展現他喜歡支配的「控制狂」個性，他不但負責整段旅程緊密安排，就連用膳時也貼心地替兩位弟弟點菜，二人大吃不消卻無可奈何。同樣地，大家對彼德的古怪行徑，以至積克到處留情的表現也看不過眼──此刻他仨卻擠於同一火車廂內，彼此差距有如火車內浮誇的顏色分岐般明顯，從而鬧出許多荒誕笑話來。
三兄弟還是一條心，貌似不合卻攜帶相同的LV新款行李，路上遇見不平又會拔刀相助，自由活動時間時更不自覺混在一起。三人決定拋棄全數十一件行李，一起躍上下班火車，前往不詳的下一站，展開生活另一章……
In director Wes Anderson's THE DARJEELING LIMITED, three American brothers who have not spoken to each other in a year set off on a train voyage across India with a plan to find themselves and bond with each other -- to become brothers again like they used to be. Their "spiritual quest", however, veers rapidly off-course (due to events involving over-the-counter pain killers, Indian cough syrup, and pepper spray), and they eventually find themselves stranded alone in the middle of the desert with eleven suitcases, a printer, and a laminating machine. At this moment, a new, unplanned journey suddenly begins.
