YesAsia Editorial Description
If Jay and Fantasy announced the coming of a superstar, then Jay Chou's third full-length album, The Eight Dimensions, sealed his status as the Chinese music world's top artist. With his third album, Jay's signature fusion of rap, R&B, and ballad became not only familiar but unmistakable, emerging as the singer's own unique musical genre. Jay started off the trend of fusing traditional instrumentals and themes with contemporary pop, and here he follows up "Nunchucks" with the equally popular "Dragon Fist". Other more than familiar sounds on the album include catchy family-tribute rap-pop number "Grandfather's Tea"; the Taiwanese-language "Where is the Train Going"; Jay-specialty mumbling tongue-twisting track "The Orcs"; and touching ballads "Return to the Past" and "Split". Also notable is the grand war-themed ballad "The Final Battle", which took Jay from his usual glossy music video to even higher budgets with a dramatic music movie complete with war scenes.
This reissue version of The Eight Dimensions comes with a DVD containing the music video and music movie versions of "The Final Battle", as well as behind-the-scenes footage.

Great stuff
Great stuff
Found this album while in Lanzhou, Gansu on the way to JiaYuGuan to adopt a daughter. My wife and I heard it playing in a music store and had to have it. I love every song on it. We live in Texas and speak no Chinese, but good music is good music.

Jay is talent and special. In this albumn, he demonstrates his brilliance in music once again. Almost every song is good enough to listen to them without getting weary. And the R&B style is distinctive. Highly recommended.

Jay
Jay Chou's cd is alright. The technology these day's are very advanced and can do well to manipulate a person's voice as well as to add cool effects. Also, when Jay sings live, I dont think its very good because his voice is very weak n he messes up a few times, which is completely different then when compared to him singing on cd. Hear it to believe it. He still needs practice n then he will be better.
