Directed by Tiwa Moeithaisong (The Sisters), Thailand-Taiwan co-production The Fatality is an unnerving supernatural thriller that mixes horror and intriguing psychological drama. The film stars popular Taiwan singer Kenji Wu along with Thai actress Pitchanart Sakakorn (The Victim), Taiwan actor Matt Wu (The Touch of Fate: Da Yu), and Hong Kong actor Sam Lee.

Poor and desperate Taiwanese man Yong (Kenji Wu) commits suicide in Taipei, only to wake up in the body of a comatose man in Bangkok. Slowly recovering with the help of Dr. Stanley (Matt Wu), he takes on a new face and life as Asanee, a civil servant with a beautiful wife (Pitchanart Sakakorn). Things aren't as cushy as they seem though as Yong can't speak Thai, his would-be wife has a lover on the side, and most vexingly, he keeps seeing dead people everywhere. Yong soon learns that it was Asanee's job to stamp the spirits' death certificates, a job he must now continue. But what happens when the soul of the real Asanee wants his body back?

何士戎，一個對未來充滿徬徨的青年。從小身上長了一個奇怪的記號，像是胎記，也像是烙印。他認為這個記號，應該是倒楣鬼的記號，因為這一輩子都很倒楣。這天，工作不順，被老闆罵了一頓，回家之後，發現今天是生日；他買了點酒，在家喝個爛醉。忽然，心臟一陣絞痛，何士戎昏了過去。在昏過去還有意識之前，他希望，乾脆就這樣死了算了。阿森尼，一個昏迷一年的植物人，在泰國一個鄉下小鎮的醫院中，緩緩清醒。清醒後，完全變了一個人，不會說泰文，卻說得一口流利中文，說自己叫做何士戎，是個台灣人。何士戎發現自己在台灣昏過去以後，變成了阿森尼…一個英俊、高大的泰國男子，並且有一個美麗的妻子，以及一份安定的工作：鎮公所經理。阿森尼的美麗老婆：娜肯，看到老公清醒，十分害怕，三番兩次的試圖殺死他。不過，擁有新生命的何士戎，打算重新生活，於是對這位美麗的太太十分體貼。娜肯覺得阿森尼真的變成另一個人，並且變得很溫柔，於是慢慢開始接受這個事實，幫助何士戎重新生活。不過，娜肯卻提醒何士戎，回到鎮公所工作以後，絕對不能打開窗口底下的通道。何士戎發現阿森尼的工作十分簡單，就是坐在鎮公所的窗口，蓋章，蓋章，不停的蓋章，處理鎮上公共事務。不過，白天"人"來找他蓋章，到了晚上"鬼"來找他蓋章。 何士戎半信半疑，繼續用阿森尼的身份在鎮上過日子，鬼依舊，繼續來找他蓋章。何士戎只能乖乖聽話，幫那些鬼蓋章。這個時候，何士戎發現了一個秘密：地下室的印章，蓋在鬼的死亡證書上，鬼就會消失，蓋在活人的證書上，活人就會死掉。他變成了死神。那個地下小房間，是死亡窗口.......
