There are many reasons why The Fearless Duo is placed firmly in the pantheon of great TVB drama series, one of which has to be the charismatic pairing of Michael Miu and Barbara Yung. Fresh off the huge wuxia drama hit Legend of the Condor Heroes, Miu and Yung perfected their chemistry in this 1984 drama, wherein they emerged as the fan-favorite screen couple. Besides, The Fearless Duo also features Agnes Chiang, Wong Cho Si, Lau Dan, and iconic villain Shih Kien in prominent roles, while some of today's great actors like Lau Ching Wan, Francis Ng, Lawrence Ng, Michael Tao, and Sandra Ng appear in bit parts here.

What's more, there is no question that the theme song "Who Can Change", written by Joseph Koo, Cheng Kwok Kong, and sung by Alan Tam, is one of the most popular drama tunes of all-time.

In this comedic tale of sorcery and romance, Mo (Michael Miu), a man who is destined to be king, has an arranged marriage with Yin (Barbara Yung), a girl who is adept at magic. Fed up with Yin's unruly character, Mo dumps her, and goes on to meet Fung (Agnes Chiang), the diva of a traveling troupe. Little does he know that under her beautiful facade, Fung is actually the assassin of an evil mastermind (Shih Kien) sent to kill him. It is now up to Mo's mentor (Lau Dan) and Yin to save him...

Product Information

Master CHEUNG (Lau Tan) gets injured after fighting with the cult leader SUEN CI (Shek Kin). He runs away and meets his future apprentice SZETO MAN MO (Miu Kiu Wai) as well as the government official’s daughter LAM CHOR YIN (Yung Mei Ling).

MO is engaged to YIN but he is not devoted to her at all. Even though YIN loves him whole-heartedly, MO deserts her on their wedding day. Soon after, MO falls into an actress FA YING FUNG (Chiang Lai Ping) by knowing nothing of her veil of deceit.

After being hurt seriously by FUNG, MO realizes that YIN is his true love and he returns to her eventually. Unfortunately, YIN’s spirit is captured by CI on their wedding night. In order to rescue his wife, MO starts practicing black magic but this leads to disastrous outcomes…

Miu and Yung Forever! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is another one of Barbara Yung and Michael Miu's best movies together. They are an awesome, well-loved on-screen couple! I can never get enough of their on-screen chemistry and cuteness together. You cannot go wrong watching movies with the two of them. I was so happy when I found this movie in DVD. I have watched this movie over and over about 10 times since I bought it last year. Truly a great addition to your Wuxia collection.

I like the music Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
This is a relatively good show. Not the best . I like the background music the best. The song is good
too. I watch Michael Miu with interest . I did not like him in the Condo Hero series but I like him in
his new show "Gun Metal Grey". I think he is probably like wine, getting better with age. However, I
don't particulary like the ending of this series.

omigosh! i absolutely loved this series when i was little and when i didn't understand canto at all! its fantastic! the action, the twists, the comedy, the romance. this coming from hong kong's golden era. and that says it all.
in todays age where dramas are mostly judged on the cast (a popularity, not talent, contest) and then are judged by plot, CG and acting talent afterwards, the fearless duo is like a fresh air from the past! heck, the best of the golden era is! Talent simply radiates from the screen! indeed michael and barbara are among the best that hong kong has (had).
to those that have never watched it, i dare say, if u haven't watched The Fearless Duo or any other classics from the 80's, u aren't a proper fan of hong kong dramas!
Must watch. Absolute classic. unfortunately, i could preach all day about this, so i'll stop now.
I'll start saving instead! FOR THIS!

This is a romantic comedy series,Miu & Yung they are a great couple on-screen ever as usual.They act really well & excellent through they character deep & focusing not just acting or take all the advantage eventhough can't sing or act.Some of the actors they can do everything but some not.TVB had many new actresses & actors but none of them can act as good as Miu & Yung.Miu & Yung act on TVB series so many stories eventhough Yung only made about 8 or 9 series before her suicided if not she will make a good fortune for TVB.They are both so cute when they fighting (I know they are acting but look real).I watch through the way of Miu Kiu Wai movies,the new one I had watch is Brothers (the four tigers back work together).Although he is not act like when he was young before but what you could say he is in mid-age now but his acting still very good.Two thumbs up for you Miu.And Yung is my favorite actress,she is very cute,she did so many characters but she always done really well through her heart.I still watched all her movies over & over again,never get bored.This series are worth it to watch,won't be disappointed.

I like this series. Yung Mei Ling and Michael Miu are great together, as usual. But I would like to see the uncut version. If you´re Barbara fan, you won´t be disappointed.
