　　少女玉鳳被姑爺仔羅拔欺騙利用，自願入獄並刺殺一女囚替「木哥」報仇。玉鳳入獄後常受惡勢力欺凌，幸得一懷孕女囚提點照顧，而有喪婆之稱的女囚Winnie在玉鳳危難時候亦幫她對抗惡勢力，她和這兩人成為好友。

　　後來，玉鳳得知喪婆如何被迫為娼受盡欺凌，方才遇到一個臥底警探阿勇，二人深深相愛。惜阿勇被黑幫頭子文叔發現身份慘遭殺害，喪婆憤而殺文叔和他的手足，入獄後她痛不欲生，時常打鬥犯事糟撻自己，她知道玉鳳殺她時卻甘願被殺，玉鳳不忍下手，她被釋放當天，狼心狗肺的羅拔……

　　Young Yuk Fung is sweet-talked by her gigolo to go to a prison in order to kill an inmate there and avenge a triad boss's death. Yuk is bullied by other inmates instead, fortunately a pregnant inmate and another girl, Winnie give her moral support. Winnie turns out to be her hit. And to Yuk's surprise she puts up no resistance when Yuk tries to kill her. Also, when Yuk knows Winnie's past, she feels sympathy at her. So, Yuk does not kill Winnie. On the day of Yuk's release, her boyfriend runs her over with a car...

The best women in prison movie ever made Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Reminiscent of an old 40's Joan Crawford vehicle, but done Hong Kong style, this is definitely one you don't want to miss. A melodramatic tale of loyalty, love and self-sacrifice is gradually recounted through a series of flashbacks. Fitted carefully around this is one of the best prison flicks you'll ever see, complete with plenty of fights, gangs, bullies and sadistic prison guards. But don't worry, this movie definitely has plenty of plot twists so that it never becomes cliched. And this starts right from the "get go" as an apparently innocent women checks in for a short sentence, but turns out to be there to make a triad hit on an inmate. Add to this a stellar cast. Carrie Ng stars in one of her best roles as the toughest of the tough, in stir for life on a murder rap. But it is the mystery of how she got there and how it all ties in with her ex-lover, powerfully played by Andy Lau that makes this one work.
