　　億萬富翁唐天德，因出身將軍世家，故亦以「將軍」自稱。其孫女唐嘉嘉回國時，公開為孫女徵婚，並揚言會將名下所有產業當陪嫁。消息一傳出，引起各界人士爭相展開熱烈追求，嘉嘉為躲避一窩蜂難纏的追求者，而認識了酒店服務生－丁丁，他的忠厚老實頗得嘉嘉好感。

　　為從眾多追求者中選出最佳孫女婿，唐天德特地請來好友陶大偉替他想辦法挑選乘龍快婿，並擔任此次選婿的裁判。第一項比賽為自由車花式競賽，只要在競賽中贏過唐天德的優勝者即可和唐嘉嘉結婚。參賽者個個使出渾身解術，怪招百出，經過一番激烈的競爭，在抵達終點前因唐天德好勝的個性而使了小小的手段，讓丁丁無法獲勝。

　　於是入圍者又進行第二次的三輪車大賽，但其中參賽者熊帽作弊，在所有車上放炸藥，甚至害人害己，沒有任何一個人抵達終點，導致此次競賽不算數，只好又舉行第三項花式四輪汽車競賽。

　　此次比賽熊帽又偷偷搗蛋，於是唐天德有備而來，準備了大砲對付參賽者，但唐天德又要對付丁丁時，嘉嘉即時阻止了愛比賽的爺爺，讓唐天德認輸，丁丁終於贏得美人歸。
