Ji-won tries to live a normal life, considering her lost memory as an umbrella left behind on the bus. However, her life in an unfamiliar world wears her out. One day, a haggard-looking Yu-jung shows up before her.
A sudden appearance of her old friend with her eyes filled with fear… Which is better, knowing the past or living without it? The fragmented memory of her past drives her into the state of confusion.

Ji-won goes on a search for her friends, Yu-jung and Mi-kyung, puzzles to her broken memory comes back hard as she gets to the gorge. She shocked to find out about her true self, too different than now. A series of nightmares and phantoms exhausting her, she finds her way into the warmth of her mom. That night, she experiences the biggest nightmare. The revealing past, more frightening than reality itself torments her to the point where she can take it any more.

One of the best Asian Horror
| This was hands down one of the best Asian Horror movies I've seen in a long time. I also can't believe I got this one for free just by ordering a bunch of HK DVDs from yesasia! Even so, now knowing how good this movie was, I would have paid full price for it. The plot actually made a lot of sense versus a lot of those other Asian horror movies where you have no idea what happened at the end. There's also a really nice love story mixed into this movie. But don't get me wrong, it was filled with all sorts of creepy moments enough to satify my horror movie cravings. I can't believe this movie hasn't had more buzz around it from those who like Asian horror. There are a couple parts that resemble The Ring, but the plot is pretty original and throughly refreshing. I highly recommend this movie! You won't be disappointed! |

Gripping psychodrama

Typically I find horror films to be manipulative in an almost mechanical fashion. "The Ghost", however, is much different, much better, than your run-of-the-mill horror flick. While it serves up plenty of thrills and chills, it also delivers a fascinating psychological puzzle. Kudos to Kim Ha Neul for her powerful depiction of a girl who has lost her memory and is horrified as she begins to recover her past. This is one film that I will want to view multiple times to capture all the subtle details of its complex story. Very highly recommended! |

can't believe i got it free!!

I was ordering Chinese movies and happened to be qualify for a free movie of my choice - I picked this one since I'm a freak for horror movies! ^o^ My first impression of a K-Horror and I was pleasantly surprised (after screaming of fear)! Hee-hee! n_n'' This movie had EVERYTHING you'd want in a movie - heart, suspense, thrill, scares, great storyline and characters, so-good acting, unexpected twists, and some comedy! =O It's become one of my most favorite movies of all time! The subtitles were a delight - didn't go too fast or anything like a lot of movies will do sometimes! If you qualify for a free movie, CHOOSE THIS!!!!!!! You won't and cannot be disappointed! =O |

great film!
| really good movie! the ending is so sad, and very twisty. some parts may seem confusing, but don't get lost in the little parts, just focus on the main issue and you will love this story. pretty scary! |

Great movie!
Great movie!
| I just watched this movie yesterday and I was really impressed by the plot. I think it's worth the watch and I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants to watch a quality horror/thriller/drama film all in one. Kudos to the main actress. She definitely did some justice to her role. The soundtrack and special effects are great. Trust me, this movie won't bore you out. The later part of the movie has some twists that would really make you think and it was a good thing that there was a part in the movie wherein flashbacks were used to make the viewer understand what really happened. It would appear confusing at first but as soon as you know why it happened, you'll find out that the story is simply great. I like it a lot! |
