Set in the Southern Song Dynasty, The Grant Passion tells the hot-blooded tale of a family of patriots who helps Commander Yue Fei in the war against the intruding Jin Kingdom in the north. Luk (Pai Ying) and his sister Ling (Shang Kuan Ling Feng) are entrusted with a confidential document that contains the roster of rebels, and must venture into enemy territoriy on a deadly mission to deliver it to the rebel base. 宋高宗紹興十年(西元1140年)岳飛元帥大破金兵於朱仙鎮，準備揮師渡黃河，恢復中原。是時，北方各地義軍，分起響應，岳元師特派鄭雲(賈魯石)將軍，密攜名單，潛入敵後進行繫。

鄭將軍為能避過敵人耳目，喬扮乞丐到大名府，尋找一位以更夫職務為掩護的陸六(白鷹)，設法將名單轉送以太行山為根據地的忠義社義軍，發動敵後作戰，牽制敵軍。不料事有洩漏，大名府都統耶律忠(曹健)下加緊防範。鄭將軍還沒有辨法和陸六聯繫前，便被金兵發覺圍捕，幸好陸六的妹妹小玲(上官靈鳳)，獲得消息後奮身掩護，鄭雲得以逃出重圍，但負傷很重，陸六將他背負到家中。

鄭雲在彌留時，將密藏竹夾中的名單交到陸六的手中，並囑咐他趕快送交天盛齋廿茶食舖的吳掌櫃(戴良)；隔窗有耳，這些話被在街上乞討的癱子聽到。

當陸小玲將這份名單祕密送到盛齋不久，吳掌櫃便在金兵圍捕中被殺害，然而幸好名單沒被搜到，當時，小玲潛入茶食鋪將名單取回由六將它藏到爛墳崗的一隻石獸的口裡。耶律忠循著他所看到的破綻，將和陸六一起工的劉異扣查，在嚴刑逼供中知道陸六將鄭將軍救走，便下令緝捕陸六。陸六武藝高強，金兵橫屍累累，但是最後仍因陷在陷阱中被捉去。陸六雖經種種酷刑，但堅持不肯透露名單的藏匿地點。小玲仗著藝高，夜經略府想搭救哥哥，中正了老奸巨猾律忠之計同被困在經略府之內。

耶律忠接著又把陸六母親(張冰玉)也提到，想對陸母施酷刑來脅迫陸六和小玲交出名單，陸母深明大義以國為重，竟一頭拄在柱上……
