Not That great
| The story line is impossible, there is no way a stepmother even at that era would do such sacrifice for the step son. UNREAL!! |

Only a OK Movie
| This was only a OK movie. There seems to be a missing scene towards the end of the movie which may have been that way with the original. Not Yesasia's fault on the quality of the film. Story could have been better. Pak Yin was too young to play the mother (though she played the part well) to Cheung Ying and Cheung Wood Yau or the latter were just too old to play her sons. Movie is a social comment on evils of gambling, greed, and problems familes face when there is discord among its members over money and control and how difficult a position a stepmother has in a family. |
