Zhi Hong finds a kinship with the snakes from the neighboring Chinese medicine store, who not only give him companionship, but also allow him to live out perverse fantasies of revenge and sadomasochism that help sate his growing frustrations. Only Xiu Juan can tame the lonely young man, but when she stands him up for a personal date, he loses his faith in her too. All he has left are his snakes, who will go anywhere - and do anything - to please their master!
