BRAVO! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
This is my first 'real' viewing of an opera and I must say that I had enjoyed it tremendously! Kudos goes out especially to Tse Kwan Ho who has put up a superb performance in this modern opera that is both entertaining and funny. Great cast too I must say. A must watch!

EXCELLENT Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This can be considered the BEST stage play. Good script, great pace and outstanding performance, particularly Tse Kwan Ho's. I was moved to tears in one scene between Tse and his disciple. To be able to move the audience, on "live" shows and in such short built up of emotion is not easy but Tse Kwan Ho did it. I am sure many who watched this either live or on DVD/VCD were transported into his world and felt his life and his pain. Highly recommended even for newcomers to stage play. A well deserved winner!!! Nothing come close to this, to-date!!!

A MUST BUY - MORE THAN EXCELLENT Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Just finished watching this today. I was blown away, primarily by Tse Kwan Ho's performance. He is simply GREAT, a very talented actor. I lift my hats up to him as he had to portray many different facets of emotions, all on the same performance. BRAVO!!! No chance for NG. I even clapped to myself after his segment with the supposingly disciple (don't know his name). There were other outstanding cast members as well. Story line, a bit of fiction and a bit of non-fiction. Very real, that we can relate to. Also, the inclusion of "the making of" was wonderful. The BEST stage play I ever watched. Deserved to be considered a classic piece. Everyone should watch it. Go for it!

Wonderful!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I borrowed this VCD from my director before, and I really love the stage version! In fact, I love it so much that I think it is worth to have a place in my VCD collection! Thus, I order the VCD myself!
Of cos' nothing can beat then watching it live on stage!

Another quality Spring Time Productions Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The Mad Phoenix is another quality stage play by Spring Time Productions. Produced and directed by Clifton Ko, Executive director: Ko Tin-long, Screenplay and art direction by Raymond To. Tse Kwan-ho and So Yuk-wah are the principal actors.
Stage plays, quite often, are better than movies. One, it's live before your eyes. Two, you see your favourite actor/s on stage. Three, most plays makes more sense than films. Four, They have a far wider appeal on audiences of all ages. Five, sometimes they make you use your imagination and think of an ending.
Six, duration of a play is longer than a film, therefore more plot development. There's probably more benefits, but enough said for now. Enjoy the show.
