Featuring a first-rate ensemble cast that includes Carol Cheng (Her Fatal Ways), Aaron Kwok (Storm Riders), Simon Yam (PTU) and Sibelle Hu (Young and Dangerous) as a motley group of gamblers who join forces to topple a corrupt casino, The Queen of Gamble is a sure bet for fans of card shark comedy.

Cheng stars as Nan, a gambling goddess from Mainland China who sets her sights on higher stakes in Hong Kong. Her target: a crooked investor and card shark extraordinaire. When Nan's underhanded opponent proves too much to handle on her own, she enlists the aid of some rather unusual helpers, including an overconfident casino playboy (Yam), a disastrously awkward stuntman (Kwok), and a perky martial arts princess (Hu). Pooling their various talents, Nan concocts a crazy scheme to take down her adversary that is destined to go down in gambling history.

後蘭無法在國內立足，於是投靠表弟韋家寶（郭富城），寶在片場當特技雜工，而寶之友方立（萬梓良），也是一名賭徒，生活甚為潦倒。立因寶結識了蘭，並一見鍾情，但蘭對其性格行為甚不滿，並愛上一名花花公子傅漢華（任達華）。華之兄傅漢生（吳孟達）為奸險之徒，竟聯同江湖女子Frances（胡慧中）將華之產業騙去。華失意之餘，幸得蘭對其援手，後蘭施展其祖父之看家本領，替華贏回那份產業，眾人稱蘭為「賭后」。
