one of the best
| Still hard to beat as one of the best series of this genre. An oldie but a goodie, timeless. Needless to say the story is a classic. Rare to see such great chemistry between the 2 leading characters on screen. Most of the supporting roles are equally captivating, full of colourful personalities. This series is so good that even some of the clumsy acting, sets and "special effects" , roller skates and all can be forgiven. The only boring part is a few epsiodes towards the end after the 2 leads goes off "to do their own thing", but the ending makes up for it. |

| IDy chan is an outstanding actor in this drama(i think that's what made this drama so famous). A must seen classic tvb series and one of best idy chan's production. |

Singapore censors

As far as I can tell, TVB didn't exactly release this. I had looked for a cantonese version of the series while I was in HK and China, and only found the Mandarin version. The Cantonese version (this one) seems to be from Singapore, and the Singapore censors probably got to them. I'm really mad about the deletions, but I don't know where else to get a version in Cantonese. It's still a good series despite the cut scenes. |

This was not a bad film!! but the amount of cut and deleted scences was a big drawback!! I mean they could have deleted good 3 or 4 cds!! Shame!! but good anyways!! |

This released version is a shame to all fans

This is such a beautiful story, with reprised roles from Andy Lau and Idy Chan that truly deeply bring out the struggled love and hardships they go through in order to survive the criticisms of their social worlds at war in such a grand scale. Everyone, yes, EVERYONE, deserves to watch this version. Do NOT watch the newly remade ones, seriously, special effects explosions and terrible acting anger me. However, I am truly disappointed in this VCD released version. It doesn't deserve to be released at all, because of all the cut-out scenese that are crucial to the story. I've already ranted on about it for the second half of the release labeled "what is wrong with them". It is such a shame that TVB is releasing this atrocity, and they don't deserve to be in the business if it's come to this. Buyers, SERIOUSLY consider the worth of your money before buying this. Remember, almost 1/4 of the entire show is cut off, therefore you can never truly experience the drive of this beautiful tale. |

What's up with all the missing and cut scenes?? that was very dissapointing... but nonetheless, this still remains to be one of my favourite TV series of all time... i give it an 8/10 |

| i love this series, unfortunately i grew up watching it in vietnamese dubbed and i want to share this series with others and it's sad that there's no english subtitles. this is an excellent series and it needs to be shared with everyone. |

A CUT VERSION OF AN EXCELLENT SERIES!!!

This series is amazing! But this VCD collection is not. Cuts are made everywhere - what are TVBI playing at? It's ridiculous! I would say that at least 20% of the series is missing - and many of the cuts made are key scenes! Here's hoping they release a fully uncut version on DVD! |

Excellent mini TV Series!!
| The is a totally excellent series I have ever watched. Although during that time I didn't understand cantonese or mandarin but still the actions and everything that came along are really superb. Hey, I still remembered watching it the first time when we had our first video player back in early 1980s. So sad to hear that my parents are always slow on technology or wouldn't accept it.. Enough babbling.. buy this set of series and I promised you wouldn't regret it a bit! |

| i think this series is the best. Idy chan and Andy lau did a great job in their roles. Absolutely is a great roch83. Highly recommend to buy this version. I love Idy and andy such a great couple. |
