After some many years, still many screenshots in my mind and reminder me the good old day. We all rushed back home and waited for this good TV series boardcast on air. Many directors tried to redo the whole TV series by putting more special effects and beauty/handsomes in it. Unfortunately, no one was able to re-create the whole atomsphere just like back to 80's. This is a must buy, enjoy it.

Clearly there is some editing. Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
ah, this movie bring back the old day with Andy Lau, just a perfect actor. And Idy Chan excellent performance. She showed much more emotion and love than the China version with Li Yi Fei. In response to the post below, the part that I noticed that TVB edited out is where the part Yang Guo was about to fight the monk at Guo Jing house, that Part was edited because the story plot there moved so fast. Beside minor cut scene, it is a great movie. CANT WAIT WITH THE 95 VERSION COME OUT DVD WITH CARMEN LEE.

Not completely Uncut Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I bought and viewed all the DVDs in this set. The sound and picture quality is excellent (as agreed by most reviewers). However, the episodes are not completely uncut as advertised. There are minor cut scenes in just about every episode. I know this because I also own this series in Vietnamese dialog which contains longer scenes.

So if you're not a perfectionist like myself, owning this series shouldn't pose any concerns regarding cut scenes. Other than that, this DVD set makes a great gift for any occasion. Oh, and I don't recommend buying the heavily edited VCD sets.

There are 2 version. The one I ordered from Yesasia is from "Modern Audio". That one comes with the entire 12 DVDs in 1 box and has the free bookmarks. It was released February 10, 2006 and apparently, yesasia discontinued it. It is definitely uncut!

Now, Yesasia is selling the Taiseng version that comes in 2 parts. Not sure if it has the free bookmarks nor the special "making-of" special. I saw the Taiseng version for sale at my local store and I like that version better because the packaging looks like a book & it seems sturdier.

Taiseng Publisher or Modern Audio Publisher Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Excellent movie and uncut version. Is the yesasia version publish by Taiseng or by Modern Audio? I found out there are two version, the first version publish by Taiseng video which can only be sold in the US, and the second version publish by Modern Audio Inc at the backcover of the case come with some bookmark having picture of Andy Lau. Does the Yesasia one come with mini bookmark on the DVD?

Somebody please tell me...Is this really an uncut version? Not like the VCD? The VCD was not good (too many parts were cut away). Is this really a original version like the VHS?

Let me say that seeing "Return of Condor Heroes" on DVD and English subtitles was a dream come true. I am hoping that among so many on my wish list that "The Legend of the Confor Heroes (1982)" and "Smiling Proud Wanderer (1984)" make it to DVD with English subtitles as well!

Disc 11 and disc 12 have 5 episodes each, so the total is 50 episodes. Disc 1 also have the making of. It's really uncut, even each episode has its initial song and ending song. The picture also very sharp, much better than the VCD version. ROCH 1983 is the best TV series ever.

How is this possible? The original ROTCH was 50 chapters when it was on VHS tape. Using 4 chapters per dvd disc and with 12 disc, that's only 48 chapters? Two chapters are missing somewhere! You people who own and have seen this dvd version - can you explain this difference? I need to know before I plunk down 140 smackers - I want the complete uncut version. Thanks.
