 Not as good as other people stated Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
Sure, the actors/actresses are good, the production decent, but the story is altered so much that I feel like throwing the TV out the window. This is one of my all time favorite Jin Yong novels and I've read the book so many times that I can't stand any blatant alterations. I understand some of the things in the novel just can't be done in that era because of technical difficulties, but there's no excuse for alterations just for the sake of catering to the soap-oriented viewers. If the writers think they are better than Jin Yong, then they wouldn't be working for TVB, would they. I think the Luis Koo version is more faithful to the novel and has better production values, and I prefer both lead actor/actress to the ones in this version.

Great to see TVB series with english subtitled.
Although this series is not what I want, I think Yesasia has come the right way.
I'm looking forward to seeing many more series with english sub especially the one which hasn't ever been dubbed into my language.
Such a famous series like this one, they have been dubbed into my language. So I may not buy.
But if there is new one which I haven't had a chance to watch, I'll buy for sure :)

 We All Waited 3 Lifetimes for the DVD Version Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Hi, all you TVB fans out there, who loved old TVB series, what do you think of this new DVD version of
the ever popular Return of the Condor Heroes? We all complained that it took over 15 years for the release of the VCD, but it's been chopped and cut like ground meat. Now that the DVD version is released, are you satisfied with it? If you have purchased and watched this new version, by all means voice your opinion. Has TVB done a good job? Is it COMPLETE from beginning to end, just like the VHS version? What about the picture quality? Any extras, such as the making-of, behind-the-scenes, and bloopers? I would not count on any of these extras. But we should be pleased now that our favorite oldies are finally on DVD. What about the rest of many other shows? Will they all eventually be released on DVD? Or only certain shows? We are talking about another 5 years, at the earliest? DID ALL OF YOU FANS NOTICED THE PRICE OF THIS BABY? A WHOPPING $140.00 ? We all have to get a part-time job to enjoy the DVD version!!
Some of us are willing to pay a ridiculously
over-priced, well-written shows like this one, so this better be good. OR ELSE NOBODY IS BUYING THEM !

In Fact, I really want to buy THIS SERIES MOVIES AND WATCH IT AGAIN BECAUSE I WATCHED THIS MOVIES WHEN I WAS VERY YOUNG, ABOUT 8 OR 9 YEARS OLD. HOWEVER, I REMEMBER THE PLOTS OF THE MOVIES VERY WELL. I REALLY MISS THIS MOVIE, BUT AFTER SEACHING AND HEARING THAT MOST SCENCES OF THE MOVEIS WERE CUT BY THE COMPANY TVBI, I DON'T WANT TO WASTE MONEY ON IT BECAUSE I WANT TO SEE THE WHOLE ORIGINE OF THE MOVEIS, NOT JUST THE SOME SCENCE CUT MOVIES.
WHY DOES THR COMPANY KEEP THE ORIGINE MOVIE AND SELL? DOESN'T THE COMPANY CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER'S LOYALTY AND SATISFACTION?

Why Edit ??? Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
I am very hesitant to buy any series from TVBI because all of them have been edited and many of the secondary storylines are totally left out! That is rediculous! I am very disappointed in how TVBI does business. In America, all series DVDs include deleted/extra scenes but for some reason TVBI decides to TAKE OUT scenes! Makes NO sense at all! MJ888

I wish, the Golden Edition is not Cut, because the normal Edition are Cut-Versions.

Such a excellent series produce by TVBI, but the VCD Box set are a great disappointment. no matter is Collector series or the normal Box set series, the number of disc are same total 24 disc,, "EDITED VERSION" why don't release of a full lenght version?? Because of costing?? I don't know, but for all fans who owns this so-called (GOLDEN EDITION) or normal box versions and myself feel like been cheated by TVBI cos' of this so call "REMASTERED VERSIONS". And hope TVBI will be release a FULL LENGHT version either on DVD or VCD. PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPLEASE DON'T DO ANYMORE STUPID AND MEANINGLESS CUTTING OR SO CALLED "EDITING DUE TO NEED"!!!!!!!!!!!
