　　每一個人與生俱來都有一個心靈的鬥室，有許多人在裡面找不到出路，困於死角當中，但上帝每一天都在門外叩門，只要我們願意打開心門讓主耶穌進入，許多傷痛和眼淚都不會再成為困擾，我們可以笑著面對每天的挑戰！

　　Amanda (蒙嘉慧飾) 表面是個樂觀傑出高級女社工，實際上她卻是悲觀抑鬱，能醫不自醫的人，人生一直極不開心。由於她所跟進的一位受助者，關老師在一次欲跳樓自殺時被Amanda勸服救回一命，本以為關老師能重新面對生命；誰料後來仍忍受不住工作壓力，終於再次跳樓自殺，結束了生命。這事發生後令Amanda感到無比傷心與挫敗，加上工作壓力，令她的抑鬱症越陷越深，生命步向黑暗。終於Amanda欲步關老師後塵，走上天台了結生命…一個接駁到「人生熱線」的電話，將Amanda跟女義工Maggie (陳敏之飾) 聯系了起來…

　　Maggie在空餘時間參加「人生熱線」的義工訓練課程，有顆單純的信心，待人真誠，同時也希望鼓勵別人不要放棄生命。後來得到導師楊光 (黃智賢飾) 的提攜，為有心靈緊急需要的朋友服務。一位尋死的專業社工，一位努力活下去的初哥義工，與及一位從旁指導經驗豐富的導師，如何透過一個熱線電話，揭開一段叫人震驚的童年往事，解開一個潛藏不解的心結，挽回一條因抑鬱症而自殺的生命......

Some rooms may have long been ignored and already filled up with pressure, frustration, loss, anger, disappointment, etc. "The Room" is especially made for those who have been struggling to get out of their own dark rooms but cannot find the exits yet...

　　"The Room" ends with a solution. Jesus Christ is standing right outside and knocking on the door everyday. If anyone is willing to let Jesus and His love in, He can brighten up the darkest corners of the room to enable you to see the exit.
