Legendary kung-fu director Chang Cheh tries his hand at a cool swinging musical. In this caper, Taiwanese star Lin Chong plays a jewel thief who decides to turn over a new leaf. He opens a nightclub and starts anew as a professional singer. But before long, the rehabilitated thief becomes suspect again for a series of robberies. With the help of a girl (the photogenic Lily Ho), they set up a trap to snare the copycat thief but will it snare them instead?

The songs are appealing. As for performance, Lin Chong is not to my expectation. Lo Lieh, Lin Jia and Lily Ho maintained their standards. OK viewing for those Chang Cheh's fans. |
