Beautiful and Elegant Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Maybe because I am a clothing horse and I don't mind sappiness, this drama really touched me. It was quiet and elegant and dignified.

The plot points were revealed without being too hokey or unbelievable. The drama is great.

Is there melodrama ... of course. Could the ending of had more impact, yes. But well worth the money.

Not my favorite k-drama (sam soon and coffee prince win that title) but definetly one of my favorite serious romance dramas.

To the critics of this show, I beg to differ. This is a great show. I think Sung Yuri's acting has improved although there is still room for improvement. Hyun Bin does a good job by portraying the sadness and loneliness of the character through his eyes. The show actually depicts love in various forms - parents, friends, siblings , lovers. The best part is the beautiful message that it delivers - it's better to live on no matter what happens and memory remains even when a person is long gone. The writers and producer should be commended for the great plot, cinematography and score. It is definitely better than other melo-dramas eg. Winter Sonata which I think is over-rated.

I see that not too many reviewers had good things to say about this drama.

I found it to be very beautiful. I thought both Hyun Bin & Song Yu Ri did very well in their roles.

Hyun Bin must have really worked out for this role since he convinced so many people on the internet as having the best body beating out Kwan Sang Woo!

Watch Song Yu Ri in Hong Gil Dong & you will see that she is able to play other types of roles other than looking pretty.

Love the OSTs also. There are 2 different CDs for the drama.

Not a very well-written story. Weak characters for both male and female leads. No chemistry between them. The show just failed to draw me in like the other K-dramas.

extremely disappointing Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
I like Hyun Bin. That was why I bought this drama. Unfortunately he doesn't look good with his moustache and his acting is poor. I do wish Korean men would stop wearing the out of fashion Beatles hairstyle. The only good acting comes from the lady who played Hyun Bin's mother. The whole story is just rubbish and everything could have ended in the penultimate epistle but no, it drags on boring you to death for one last epistle with nothing at all worth seeing. So unless you are crazy over Hyun Bin, and don't mind him with a moustache throughout, then give this a miss. The girl (and the one playing her junior too) is a real pain.

After finding out that this movie was created by the directors of winter sonato, I figured this movie had to be good. However, it was a little dissapointing.

Yes, the movie was good, don't get me wrong. The music was also beautiful, and let me tell you, the guy in this drama saved the drama all together. that is how good he was.

As far as the actress, I did not care too much for her. At times I felt like she was not acting good enough, and she also failed to give any chemestry with the male lead.

My husband liked this drama a lot, so I'm sure many people would as well, i' just expected a better drama. The ending was predictable, and the movie kind of dragged on. It's not a drama I would want to rewatch.

So conclusion, good, but not worth watching again.

This drama was very funny at times in the beginning, but the story had some very touching scenes. Towards tghe end, the story became even sadder. Hyun Bin's role and appearance are completely different from MNIKSS. Here, he is quiet, calm, and sensitive. His acting is very natural and believable as a boxer dealing with tragedy and guilt. Sung Yuri is very beautiful (great clothes, accessories and hairstyles) and she does a good job acting the role of a very spoiled and rude girl who slowly changes because of her relationship with Hyun Bin's character. Only complaint is that I felt the storyline dragged toward the middle. The great soundtrack and beautiful cinematography really made this drama very good and memorable.

Snow Queen is a well written melodrama with high production value and great character development. Like all melodramas it does get sappy but it isn't nearly as bad as most. I also really enjoyed the score(theme music). Definitely one of the better Korean melodramas.

This is a decent drama due to you can pretty much predict what's going to happen next in every episode, but that shouldn't stop you from watching. It will also grab your attention because both characters play their role well and the story line is just great with the ost. I purchased mine from PMP Entertainment and disc two picture quality sucks although subtitle is good, could've went with yesasia instead.
