　　明（黃秋生）因冒險入獄而破大案，獲晉升為高級督察。明發現其獄中好友阿細（廖偉雄）出獄後，再次為非作歹，遂助他改過，安排他混入雄（駱應鈞）之黑幫內做臥底。

　　阿細表現甚佳，獲雄提升為其情婦瑂（梁藝齡）之司機。後阿細撞破瑂另有情人，而此人乃明之同事豪（林保怡）。豪好大喜功，常與明起衝突；他利用瑂，要她留在雄身邊，以取線報。

　　一次，瑂被人追殺，阿細奮勇相救，二人始發現對方也是警方臥底，遂協議互不干涉。及後，瑂查出線索，但為證明豪對她之情，遂故意讓阿細將線索告知明。豪極怒，不但殺死瑂，更嫁禍予阿細。明因此被暫時停職，豪追捕阿細，並以亂槍掃射之……
