Jennifer Lopez is Mary, a peppy career woman who is great at what she does: she can turn any wedding into the perfect romantic event. Incurably single, she feels she's hit the jackpot when a chance encounter introduces her to Steve (Matthew McConaughey), a doctor. What she doesn't know--and what Steve doesn't reveal--is that he is soon to marry Fran (Bridgette Wilson-Sampras), one of her high-powered clients. As the attraction between Mary and Steve grows stronger, they are thrust into a series of comically unpleasant situations which force them to confront their feelings for one another. There is nothing I'd want to change about this movie. The cast actually isn't just an assortment of pretty faces. Jennifer Lopez made me fall in love with her, as did both of her suitors (imagine rooting for both guys! Even though it's obvious she'll wind up with Matthew McConaughey, I couldn't help falling for the other guy, too, played by a Justin Chambers with an adorable Italian accent). I even loved the other woman!

There are some definite memorable lines and scenes in this movie, both of the romantic and funny natures. This is one of those films that, while undeniably a chick flick, can still be enjoyable for guys, although I suspect it'd be more of a guilty, surprised pleasure. It's one of my favorite romantic comedies, though. :)

A beautiful romantic comedy giving you ideas for your own wedding! Jennifer Lopez is stunning as usual. A great movie to snuggle up with someone special, a few good friends or even by yourself! It's always nice to dream, but this movie keeps everything real. Everybody still has to play the love game!
