Based on Tanimura Hoshi's novel Yomei, Time Lost, Time Found presents a mother with life's most difficult decision - choosing between her life, or that of her unborn child. Award-winning actress Matsuyuki Yasuko (Suspect X) plays physician Shizuku whose joy of pregnancy is cut short by breast cancer relapse. As a doctor, Shizuku knows that she should end the pregnancy and seek cancer treatment. But at 38 years of age, she is worried she may not get another chance to have a child. After much thought, Shizuku decides to keep the baby and give up treatment...
Directed by Shono Jiro, who also explored love and loss in familial relationships in his last film Tegami, Time Lost, Time Found is a deeply touching story of a mother's love in the face of death. Shiina Kippei co-stars as Shizuku's husband.
