Touch (Taiwan Version) DVD Region 3

Real-life brothers Keita Shota and Keita Saito team up to portray baseball playing twin brothers in the winning live action film adaptation of Mitsuru Adachi's popular 1980s era manga, Touch! Directed by Inudo Isshin, this seishun eiga ("youth film") centers on a love triangle set amidst the competitive world of high school baseball. Keita Saito plays Kazuya, a star baseball pitcher, while Keita Shota portrays "little" brother Tatsuya, an up-and-coming boxer at the amateur level. Both boys just so happen to be in love with Asakura Minami who is played by Nagasawa Masami, best known for her star-making turn in Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World. Minami is not only the baseball club's manager, but the twins' closest childhood friend as well.

Deciding between the two brothers in regard to romance, however, is one choice Minami doesn't have to make thanks to a tragic twist of fate that cuts short Kazuya's life. This unexpected tragedy compels Tatsuya to step in for Kazuya on the pitcher's mound in the hopes of achieving his brother's long held dream to play in the National High School Baseball Tournament at Koshien Stadium in Hyogo Prefecture. Meanwhile, Minami has dreams of her own, as she works hard to take the top prize at the All Japanese Gymnastic Tournament. As Tatsuya and Minami come to support one another, the two of them find themselves falling in love, but somehow Tatsuya can't bring himself to express what lies within his heart. Will he overcome his feelings of guilt over his brother and tell Minami how he feels? He'll have to, if he's going to achieve both Kazuya's dreams and his own!

　　上杉達也（齊藤祥太飾演）、上杉和也（齊藤慶太飾演）是一對孖生兄弟；淺倉南（長澤正美飾演）正是他們青梅竹馬的朋友，一起成長，一起讀書，情同兄妹，兩兄弟都在默默暗戀南…

　　南天性開朗率直，一直以來，她有一個心願，就是希望三人就讀的高校「明青學園」能順利打入「甲子園」（日本全國高校棒球賽）。弟弟和也是學校棒球隊的主將，不但運動了得，亦是校內的高材生，眾人都認為和也與南是天生一對。相反，哥哥達也的性格卻較散漫，成績、運動、人氣等各方面都比不上弟弟。

　　弟弟和也為了完成南的夢想，苦練棒球。可惜，就在出賽「甲子園」準決賽之清晨，和也遇上車禍喪生……一直散漫的達也決定加入棒球隊，希望有朝實現三人的夢想——「甲子園」……

　　Tatsuya and Kazuya the twin brothers, have a mutual girl friend, Minami, who has been their playmate since they were babies. After they enter the same high school, Minami harbors a dream: To participate in the national high school baseball championship tournament at Koshien Stadium. In order to materialize it, Kazuya joins the baseball team of Meisei High School as an ace pitcher. He proves that he is talented as an athlete and as a student. He is considered a perfect match for Minami whose beauty and brightness win her the unanimous adoration of the high school students.

　　Meanwhile, Tatsuya is sloppy and, with poor academic records, far from the center of attraction. Evidently inferior to his twin brother, however, love has found its place in his heart, and his affection for Minami grows day by day. Though she feels Kazuya's attachment, Minami is rather attracted to Tatsuya than to Kazuya. As time goes by, it is Tatsuya who wins her first kiss.

　　The preliminary heats for the championship tournament begin, and the Meisei High School team wins game after game to the final, thanks to Kazuya's nice pitching. But in the morning on the day of the final, Kazuya gets involved in a traffic accident and dies. His ardent wish to take Minami to Koshien Stadium becomes Tatsuya's, who joins the baseball team as a pitcher just like Kazuya. But with little experiences as a baseball player, Tatsuya has to endure many hardships to play the part of his twin brother. Nevertheless, he is determined to get through the trial heats and go to Koshien for the championship tournament with his love...
