Excellent Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Koda Kumi is certainly consistent. Her already impressive pop CV gets even better with this superb collection of rnb and pop songs. If you are a fan of her music, this is not to be missed!!

best album from kuuchan yet :) Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
this album was well worth the money and since black cherry koda has only gotten better.
songs like taboo, stay with me show girls and her version of venus are superb (although i was hoping she would do a video for each song like her last album kingdom)
the live dvd is good it was great to get taboo live and i loved the way she sang cherry girl, maybe there was a little too much going on though, but still a solid buy.
a must have for fans of koda, jpop, or just good music all together.

post-productn DVD concert = distracted viewer Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
This is another buy that I was not sure of since I am not familiar with Koda Kumi. I'm not too sure what to make of her. My biggest complaint is the DVD concert. The DVD concert was terrible. Not the concert itself, there were some good songs, but all the post-production that was added into the concert afterwards. I've said it in my other review that I paid to see the singer, in this case Koda Kumi, and her concert. I do not need to see pinks graphics swirling around Koda and her dancers when she sings or subliminal words flash across the screen, nor do I need the screen shattering into 20 pieces while Koda is singing. All of Koda's fast songs were ruined by this type of stunt. If this was a music video then OK you can be funny with this type of stuff but a concert?? I cannot watch the concert with so much unnecessary distractions going on the screen at the same time as Koda is performing her concert.. I mean why split the screen into three sections with stuff happening in each. I'm not playing a multi-player video game here where we need to split the screen into quadrants. Her ballads or non hip hop songs had no post-production added in; I could actually see Koda playing with the crowd.

Again why do the record companies insist on region coding their DVDs? Why cut off your potential fans overseas- like in North America? Just like with some of the other singers, I cannot justify buying an 80 dollar DVD (an example of other merchandise)that is region coded 2 or 3 when there is a chance I may not be able to play it on my Blue-ray or DVD player.

I hope you are reading this record company representatives on both issues!!

Kuuuuuuuuuu!!! >< Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
She's been back for a while and I think I waited way too long to review this album. If you consider her last album to be R&B and dance, this one would by Dance+a little hip hop.

Kingdom was a big success for her and I think she's keeping the ball rolling! The intro song sucks you right in! It's like a show. Kingdom's concept was royalty, Trick is like a broadway play. I can't wait to see what she'll do for this album's tour. I bet it will be amazing.

Get up and dance to some new dance tracks like "show girl", "driving"<-- extremely catchy and amazing, and "Just the Way You Are".

Get down to new hip hop tracks "This is not a love song"<-- a masterpiece!, "Introduction for Trick", and "Bling Bling Bling"<-- takes a little getting used to.

Fall in love with the numerous new ballads. Not to mention that Taboo, stay with me, Moon Crying, and That Ain't Cool are included.

I really found nothing wrong with this album. Though it's definitely not Kingdom, it's great all the same. Kuu's wild side is still there and I'm loving it still! Get crunk to Trick. ^^

Kuu come back!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
I agree with you Sakura-chan. This album is not as good as Kingdom which was a killer release, SO GREAT!!! Trick hardly has one memorable song. I was very surprised when I heard Taboo, I`d thought it was better, there`s been so much fuss about it. I guess it proves that no matter how a singer acts in her videos it doesn`t secure her or him a musical success, just a bit of extra attention. I don`t think Trick`s gonna outlast other Koda Kumi albums. It`s just too similar to what other artists are doing, especially Britney Spears who is having a similar album out now. It also has a Madonna feel and personally I don`t like her. It all seems rushed. There isn`t anything on this album that even comes close to matching super songs like Get up and move!, Chase, Hot Stuff, Wind, Anytime, you name`em. I ended up giving my copy away, but, that said, I look forward to the next album from Kuu. When she`s on form noone comes close to her. Too bad (I feel) she isn`t on form here!

Dirty Ballroom Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I already posted a review about the songs and PVs, but I hadn't seen the full Dirty Ballroom at the time.

Can I just say that it OWNS?!

Though, I do agree with bENi_bOi08. To me, it looks like her video-editor found a new program and decided to have some fun. X3 It's still wicked as hell, though!!

When Mr. Blistah walked onto the stage, I started freaking out, screaming, "OH MY GOD!! Mr. Blistah made an appearence?!?! HOW COOL!!"

I love the selection of songs chosen for it and the encore was awesome! Especially with the glowing/flashing neon gloves, glasses, and Koochan's hairbow. X3 They flash from orange to green under the blacklight and it's so cool!! Not something you'd expect from Kuu!!

I'm with bENi_bOi08 again! I want to see her 'TRICK Tour 2009' so bad, now!! I hear that she'll be performing illusions throughout the concert...like a magic show!!

I CAN'T WAIT!!!

This is some TRICK!! ^-^ Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I've gotta say, I wasn't too excited when the previews started coming out. But when I heard the album all together, I was VERY VERY pleased! It was totally worth my money. Kumi is experimenting with A LOT of new things with this album. From the new genres of music to her lyrics. This is the first album where I've heard lyrics like "Baby all I want is your bling bling bling and your car car car." Haha, definitely a MUST HAVE for any Kumi fan.

The music videos are awesome! A few of the music videos have different edits than what we originally saw.

OMG Dirty Ballroom... YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE THIS SHOW! Seriously, she has never done a show like this. Mr. Blistah also makes an appearance for the Candy performance. This gets me excited for TRICK TOUR 2009! The only thing about it is that there is A LOT of editing in the show. It's cool, but it sorta distracts you from the show. If you don't know what I mean, go check out the preview on Kumi's site.

Overall, I am so happy that I got this album. This is a great way for Kumi to start 2009. 10/10
