Not often you shed tears for baddies, but the last scene of Park Sun Young (who played the elder daughter of a politician) and her boyfriend was so well and beautifully performed that you feel so sorry for them. It is true that they had done some wrong things but they certainly did not deserved to die. The pair took all the limelights at the end of this drama. I didn't like the cop boyfriend at all but he really did love Park and for this love, he was willing to die with her. Choi Ji Woo on the other hand, had been overshadowed by the lovelier younger Park and in any case, Choi doesn't look at all like someone you can easily bully. The supporting cast is excellent, especially Choi's father, her best friend, in-laws etc. I have seen Ryu Si Won before but this time he really shines through. He is always there to protect the girl he loves, he stands up strongly for himself and his love for Choi is so positive and undying. The only other similiar character like him is Kwong Sang Woo's Jung Jun in Stairway to heaven. Both characters steal every girl's heart. Definitely recommended.

This is a very good.The story has lots of twists butvery interesting and not boring and at only 16 episodes, the story was well-developed. Excellent actors too, and RSW and CJW has great chemistry. The romance was good. The ending...justified.

This is an old drama with an age old theme...lies ,greed etc. There is a lesson to be learnt from this drama...that sin will always find you out. The two dishonest people in this show paid a high price for their conniving actions. And of course, the good always triumphs over evil ( not so in real life). Choi Ji Woo looks altogther too old to play a student in this drama and I thought she looked too old for Ryu Si Won. That aside, the love and tenderness between this pair of lovers make this drama worth watching. Ryu Si Won fell in love with Choi at first sight and despite obstacles, he was unwavering in his choice and pursuit of Choi. His fans will love his dreamy puppy adoring eyes!

I wonder why YesAsia took so long because I've had this DVD boxset for a while now. Any fan of Ji Woo will love this drama.

well i hate the story line here but i've only watched it because i like choi ji woo very much. her acting here is very excellent.. i also like the love story between choi ji woo and ryu si won. and i hated the rest of the characters...

The best drama ever... my all time favorite, and not just mine. This drama had a over 50% rating, which was one of the highest ever in Korea. It's a forever classic. If you compare it to the dramas today, it may seem unoriginal with a lot of cliche' in the storyline, but it is actually very original, because its the first drama to make this kind of twisted storyline that became the stepping stone for other recent dramas like "Stairway to Heaven" to follwing in its foot steps.

 Ryu Shi Won is the BESTTTTT!!!!! Very adorable!!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I really adore Ryu Shi Won who played Raymond. He's so cute. He did a very wonderful performance. I love his team up with Choi Ji Woo who played Jana in the series and also did a great job. Park Sun Young who played Chini is also effective in her role as a spoiled daughter of her mother and a very selfish person that wants to own the love of Raymond. I think that all the actors did a great job. I was so touched in the scene where Raymond searched for a medicine because Jana is sick. I adore Ryu more because of his character who will do all for his one greatest love. He also fight for his love for Jana. This series was wonderful! I will never hesitate to watch it again and again because I will continue to fall in love. The only thing that I hate is the tragic ending of Chini and Jay and the ending of Jana and Raymond that I felt was rushed to end and did not shown how they build there own family. I hope it will have a part 2 where they have there own family. I'm frm the Philippines. I hope that ABS-CBN will also import the series Beautiful Days where Ryu and Choi also starred.

well i'm really not into korean films and so far i've only seen winter sonata, BD and the truth.but i can definitely say that ryu si won is one hell of an actor...he's not cute in "the-boy-next-door" way but he really looks delicious...i just hope that i can watch more of him here in phillies....and choi ji-woo is the best....

the story is beautiful and precise.The actors/actresses portrayed their roles very well. I learned to love Chini and Jay when the show was nearing its end. I just hate the idea of finally arriving at the point of wherein janna has to reveal the truth that lead to the suicide acts of chini and jay. Janna should have had not gave way to chini's capriciousness from the start or could have put an end to it somewhere in the middle part of the story so it wont end up tragically. Anyway,that's how the story should go or else it'll end up sooner than it had ended. I love the pair of chini and jay. I just hope that the story was prolonged a little bit.Was it edited or shortened to give way to the new show called "Marina" over ABS CBN(Philippine channel)? I just wish the starrers (of The Truth,who else?)are able to come over the Philippines ahead of the Westside Story's starrers. But sad to say,it'll never happen since it has ended and the Westside story starrers are about to go to the Philippines. I hope to see another (is this a movie or a telenovela?)one starring the same actors(chini,jay,janna and raymond) or just chini and jay.Thanks.
