A classic hero returns in the 2005 theatrical release Ultraman: The Next! Shunichi Maki (Bessho Tetsuya) is a fighter pilot who encounters a large, glowing red object in the skies. His plane crashes into it, but amazingly, Maki is unscathed. But a ship captain has encountered a glowing blue object underneath the ocean, and mutated into a terrifying creature called "The One." The fear is that Maki will transform too...and he does, into a silver-and-red giant who may be Earth's only hope at stopping the onslaught of "The One." Ultraman has arrived!

Directed by Ultraman TV series veteran Konaka Kazuya, this fresh retelling of the Ultraman mythos features a brand-new Ultraman with a new, more adult direction, and updated special effects!
