October 23, 2009 Great debutI, like many others, got this single because of "Oh Yeah." "Oh Yeah" is a very strong dance track that gets you put it in the repeat mode. Also, "Oh Yeah" live just makes you see how strong MBLAQ is and that's why they are my new favorite boyband.
The other two songs show a different range of music that MBLAQ can do. If some listen to it the first time comparing to "Oh Yeah," you may think that the songs are not as good. However, for me, I listened to them a couple of times and I have to say that all of the songs in this single is very good.
"G.O.O.D Luv" is a moderate-fast R&B track and after a few listen, it is as addictive as "Oh Yeah." "My Dream" shows us that MBLAQ can do ballads and how good their vocals are. Although I have to admit the melody to that song is not as good as the other two so it is not as addictive.
Overall, I really look forward to more materials from MBLAQ. Rain did a fabulous job training these guys. The group is very promising.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

(1)Our Price: US$25.75Usually ships within 1 to 2 daysRelated promotions:September 17, 2009 The New Era of HandMCThey've got a new vocalist (HALCA), they switched to a new label (Spice Records), and their music became more rock-based, and not to mention that they started using the "F" word in their lyrics. This is the new HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR. This is HandMC gone "indie." Listening to this album I get the feeling that since the departure of Maaki, the band switched to a lower division of Sony Music and become more free-reign on their music. Thus, they get to use curse words in their lyrics and sound more rock...not the usual commercial-type music like the ones that HandMC used to produce. This album is for hardcore HandMC fans and rock genre fans; not suitable for animes like the music they use to make. However, even though you are feeling that they don't sound at that much "HandMC" anymore, there is still a huge percentage in their songs that still sound like their usual music; it's just rockier. I mean, they only lost one person in their band while five other band members remain in the band. The other members are the people who usually writes the band's music in the past. Maaki and Yuusuke was responsible for the lyrics. For us non-Japanese speakers, we usually listen to the melody and the vocal abilities of the vocalists. In this case, although HALCA have a deeper voice, it somehow did suit the music that HandMC is producing right now.
Overall, I am very satisfy with the music on this album. The album packaging, on the other hand, is a different story. I don't know if Spice Records is limited in money resources or it is on purpose, but this album doesn't have a back album art (like usual J-Pop CD singles). Also, the booklet containing the lyrics (yes, the lyrics are in there!) does not contain a single picture of the band. It is just colored pages with lyrics. No pictures. Which was disappointed about because I really want to see HALCA in another picture besides the one and only we saw.
In conclusion, this is worth the buy because of the music. The price of this album is also cheaper than their usual album, too (because of the label company, maybe?).Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

September 2, 2009 Changed My MindI have heard of F.T Island way before I started listening to Korean music and that is due to the fact that they released a mini-album in Japan. Although I am a alternative/rock music fan, I didn't like their mini-album all that much. When I started listening to K-Pop a year later (thanks to TVXQ), I immediately went to check out FTI's music again, hoping this time I would like their music. But the truth is that after listening to another new single of theirs (this time, in Korean), I still didn't like their music. I have no idea why but I just didn't like the type of rock that they do and Hongki voice (at first) wasn't the type of voice I like to hear singing rock. I listened to Wonbin's last single with them and also "Jump Up" with new vocalist/guitarist SeungHyun but I still didn't like their music.
That has changed with this album.
When this came out, I gave FTI another try and I didn't like it at first but after the second listen, I slowly appreciated Hongki's voice (now I think he's voice is smexy) and the rest of the band's talents. I love most of the songs on this album so eventually, I bought this (otherwise I won't write a review). Somehow the songs on this album captured my attention and they seem to be better than the ones that I listened to in the past.
I guess if you were like me, who wasn't a FT Island fan, then you should really give this album a listen. This album has converted me to a primadonna. :)Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

September 2, 2009 Probably the Best in AugustThe YG Family basically dominated this summer. After 2NE1's debut mini-album, YG's long-time family member G-Dragon releases his highly anticipated album. 21 didn't disappoint me and so does GD. GD's album is like branching off of Big Bang's usual music, only GD adds in some cusses and all that.
There is seriously not a single song on here that doesn't stand out. Every song was enjoyable and different. Genres varies from rap, R&B, hip-hop, pop, & rock. GD was able to deliver great compositions and style. His vocal abilities get to shine in many of the songs (at least the ones that he did sing in them). We all know that he's an excellent rapper but with this debut album, it just proves that he is one of the best rappers that are around right now.
On the other hand, the packaging for this album is very interesting. Comes with a clear plastic box which holds the the full-on foam version of the image you see on YesAsia. Comes with a very beautiful photobook of GD. :)
Highly recommended for any Big Bang fans (if you are still wondering whether you should buy this or not) and anybody who likes a good album.
By the way, I only write reviews for things that I actually buy. That way, I can really tell you from the first-person point-of-view. For those who got this album from the internet...SHAME ON YOU! BUY IT!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

The actual pendant is a bit smaller than I expected. But the whole necklace turned out to be better than I expected! The thing that bugs me is that the "Y" and the snowflake tends to hide each other, so either you see the "Y" or you see the snowflake. Other than that, I really like this necklace!

For one, Ayu's music never fail to amaze me because I literally enjoy every single song that she ever released; from "Poker Face" up to all the songs that she released in "NEXT LEVEL." However, "Sunrise/Sunset" was a hundred steps behind her usual releases. When I first heard the song, I was disappointed although I tried to make myself enjoy, because, being an Ayu fan, I gotta like it, right? But somehow I cannot make myself enjoy it as much as I wanted to.
The composer who wrote this song is not making us happy. Somehow Ayu let it slip and chose this song to release after her 10th album and it turned out not to be one of the amazing songs she used to release.
And I agree with the previous review about Ayu's cover art in this album. When I first saw it here on YesAsia, I thought it was badly photoshopped and it doesn't look like the usual beautiful Ayu album covers.

I saw it on the Japan iTunes and decided to check the whole album out and boy was I surprised. JYONGRI has the one of the most powerful voice in the J-Pop scene at the moment. I enjoyed all of the songs that are in this album because she was able to produce some very good songs with her vocal abilities.
Now I will finally buy this album and give her the support she needs. I think the reason that she's not at the top of the charts is because of the lack of promotions (like I said, I have never heard of her before) and she's not as pretty as Ayu or Ku-chan. I don't really care about the Japanese translation since I don't know how to read Japanese but it is all about the English! Also, I seem to have develop a nosebleed from looking at all the sexy pictures of my DBSK boys. They look so hot! At first I don't think it was worth it to spend $50 on a book but being a major DBSK fan, I know I gotta be in debt and just buy it. And I did not regret getting this! This is totally worth the money!

I didn't want to get this when I saw the display picture because it looks like it has some sort of gray crystal in the middle of the cross in the display picture but that doesn't exist in the actual pair of earrings. It is just the problem with the display picture because the earrings looks so beautiful. I am seriously in love with them!

July 31, 2009 Wow, I was lucky.When I found out that YesAsia is selling "Attack of the Pin-Up Boys" Ultimate Edition, I had to get it immediately! And how lucky I was to buy it immediately because now it is completely out-of-prints.
Okay, I am not going to make you feel bad for missing the chance to get the ultimate edition because the movie is what matters after all.
This movie rocks. I am not saying this because I love the SuJu boys. Even if this movie were played by some other actors, this movie would still be enjoyable and fun. This is the first movie that I enjoyed watching from start to finish in a long time. The little jokes in this movie were not overdone, so it's nothing cheesy like "Superbad" or whatever comedy the studios are trying to produce nowadays. The plot wasn't weak at all. The twist at the end of the movie totally took me by surprise.
I thought that because this is an idol-film, this is just going to be solely SuJu-based instead of movie-element-based; but I was wrong. I have watched all the TVXQ dramas including "Vacation", where the plots are weak but we fans enjoy it wholeheartedly anyway because we love the boys. But SuJu's "Attack of the Pin-Up Boys" is totally different. It is totally worth the money.
I think it is 99% better than the "Twilight" movie that everyone seems so obsessed about. One Heenim is worth 10 vampires. Heh.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

July 24, 2009 Great buy!Although I own alan's debut Japanese album and most of the singles, I have to get this album, being an alan fan. The album doesn't contain any new songs but translated her top Japanese songs into Chinese.
The CD+DVD package is already worth the buy. The cardboard that holds the two discs is HUGE. The cardboard is glossy and, huge, like I said. It also comes with a photobook/lyric booklet that is just as big as the cardboard. Also comes with a postcard that features a collage of alan's pictures.

Not only did they not focus (i.e. screen time) on Sungmin when he was singing his parts, they messed up Sungmin's picture in the photobook by putting in Yesung's picture in Sungmin's page.
It's sort of a given that Kibum didn't get that many screen time as well, seeing as he wasn't given that much parts in many SuJu songs.
Also, I was sort of angry when the ELFs kept chanting during Henry's solo in "Don't Don" and then the chanting in "She's Gone". I know the ELFs love SuJu, I wouldn't be able to help myself if I was in the presence of SuJu, but let them sing! I can barely hear the lovely vocals of the SuJu members during "She's Gone". The chants also got a bit out-of-control during Donghae's solo "My Everything". I mean, he's singing English, can I please hear him?!
Another bad thing about this DVD is that it is not English subtitled. I couldn't understand the jokes that Teukie made during Ment. Kind of sad, actually.
Okay, enough with the bad stuff. Overall, this concert is pretty awesome. The SuJu boys were very entertaining (like always). Their choreography was a bit messy in the first two songs, but then they got together after that. They also live-sang all of the song minus six dance songs, which is really something. SuJu doesn't get criticism but the only thing they get criticized about is that fact that they lip-sync during lives. Well, it's kind of hard singing over 12 other voices eh? But I guess that's possible, after seeing this concert.
I think this concert is really worth the buy. I know the fans were a bit noisy and blocking SuJu's voice, but SuJu did give very awesome performances.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

The only downer is the fact that Eunhyuk looks blurry! But at least his face is bigger than the rest of the members 'cause Hyukkie is one of my favorite members!

July 16, 2009 A Must-Have!This is the best poster of SuJu! All of them look great individually...but the thing is that they are all standing next to one another! That just makes the poster ten times more awesome.
The poster is shorter horizontally but wider. That way, it can fit all of the SuJu member in perfectly. The paper is the glossy poster-type, which is good. Makes it long-lasting.
I really love this poster and I did not regret getting it at all!
