Sega presents another chapter in the Virtua Fighter franchise with an all new cast and story. You play Sei who lives in a small city floating above the ocean, where the city's inhabitants dwell in a virtual world called the Nexus. This game unfolds inside the Nexus where Sei gets caught up in an incident that brings him at odds against the evil society of the Judgement Six (J6). The story revolves around special data clusters called Virtual Souls within which legendary Virtua Fighters exist such as Akira, Jackie, Sarah, and Bai.

The game is easy to pick up and play with lots of cool features. Cineplus Break is an ability to slow your opponents' speed. This gives you time to get off extra attacks and create killer combos! Discover a virtual soul in the game and you can have a virtua fighter teach you special techniques. During the game you can collect data chips which you can trade for power up items to improve your attacks, defenses, hit points, and more.
