In regards to the best review - "Sounds good to me", I do agree that Vivian's singing voice does sound a bit like Priscilla's. At first, when I heard Vivian sing, I sort of got confused her with Priscilla. Now I can distinguish the difference: Vivian singing voice is somewhat lower and Priscilla is higher. You should listen to their famous duet song "Wei Qing Wei Ai". You will listen to what I mean. Beautiful song.
I bought the karaoke DVD of this. Much better than CD. At least you can sing along with her, with the concert on your television screen. Magical performance that I shall never forget and shall be treasured forever.

I really enjoyed this DVD. Not only did it bring back fond memories of college (when I was an incurable Vivian Lai fan), this concert represents a fitting tribute (and an end) to an exceptional singing career that many of us will sorely miss. As seen on this DVD, Vivian Lai may not be the most energetic performer or the best dancer, but from her interaction with fans to her many attempts to sing through tears, her genuine love of singing (and for her fans) was radiant, heartfelt and unmistakable.

By the sheer volume of unforgettable songs sang throughout her career, I never understood why Vivian enjoyed only fleeting success. Perhaps she lacked that supermodel quality of Coco Lee or that high-energy presence of Kelly Chen. Nevertheless, based purely on talent and songs, I consider Vivian one of Hong Kong's greatest female singers. Her songs often contain a sense of longing -- full of innocence, sweetness, melancholy and joy -- while sung with a voice that gives warmth and expression to her lyrics. This is the type of songs and singing sorely missed in today's over-commercialized Hong Kong music scene.

Thank you Vivian for this DVD, your songs and the nostalgic reminder of a bygone era in Hong Kong music we will all miss.

Sounds good to me Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
just bought this cd, listen to it entirely for the
first time. sound quality is great !
Vivian has a vibrant voice somewhat sounds like
Priscilla Chan. The songs on the cd is great as well.
One comment i have is that, i wish Hong Kong music
industry pay more attention to the editing of these
concert cd's. Many of these concert cd' are poorly
edited. And i do have quite a collection of live
concert cds.
one song not completely finished jumps to next, make it seems like something is missing in between. Especially on this cd, the last track on cd2 cut-off as Vivian was introducing the next song. and then there was no next song. that was the end of the cd. How can they do that. Just wish they try to improve in this area and not to rush out cd releases to make fast sales. in my opinion concert cds should be sound similiar to as if you are there listening to it in person at the concert hall. Too much editing doesn't
CUT it.

I've always like Vivian's style. This concert cd has proven she's a great performer as well.

She sang some of the songs in tears, trying to bring the lyrics out. Her voice has a great emotion to them.

You've got to see this on dvd in order to get the full effect. I enjoyed this cd very much and have already order my dvd version. I hope she comes back in a few years and do another concert or more albums. I hope she doesn't retiree too long.
