Aaron Kwok was crowned Best Actor twice at the Golden Horse Awards for his Divergence (2005) and After This, Our Exile (2006). He started his career in the entertainment circle as a dancer, and soon became a TV actor. Among the TV dramas starring this superstar, Wars of Bribery (1996) was one of the most popular titles. Kwok plays a righteous inspector who devotes his career to combatting corruption. Athena Chu, the female lead in many Stephen Chow movies like A Chinese Odyssey, plays his partner in investing five bribery cases. Aaron Kwok also spices up Wars of Bribery with his theme songs.

Aaron Kwok is Yeung, a young and dedicated inspector in Hong Kong government's Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC). A new joiner to the team, Chiu (Athena Chu) always sees Yeung as her competitor. Despite their competition, their joint effort successfully uncovers some important bribery cases and sends the lawbreakers to jail. Meanwhile, although Yeung and Chiu often quarrel over work, they are unnoticeably attracted to each other...

楊大志(郭富城)幹勁沖天，積極熱誠，加入廉政公署工作，成為廉政調查員，雖屢遇挫敗，但對工作仍滿腔熱誠。趙詠兒(朱茵)為新加入之調查員，好勝剛強，常與志互爭表現。探員游樂生(吳毅將)無意中認識了失明的梁小敏(關詠荷)，生被敏的樂天達觀的性格吸引，二人遂發展了一段感情。

志與兒在偵查案件中，雖不時鬥氣，但仍能同心偵破不少案件，更在不知不覺間互生情愫。另方面，志在愛情、友情及親情上也經歷了重大的考驗。究竟他能否捨情取義，發揮廉潔精神呢？

Yeung Tai Chi, a new investigator of the ICAC, is met with frequent failures, but he remains optimistic. Chiu Wing Yi, also a new member of the ICAC, is so aggressive that she always challenges Chi. Police officer Yau Lok Sang gets to know Leung Siu Man, who is blind, by change. He is attracted by her optimistic personality and the two become lovers. Though Chi and Yi quarrel often, they manage to discover various briberies and they eventually fall in love. In the course of investigation, Chi is forced to make decisions between love, friendship, family and justice. How will he face the dilemma?
