Paris. Hubert (Jean Reno) is a worst headache for the police station as he always proceeds the investigation rather forcibly. And finally he is ordered to refrain from his work. He is so blunt and unsociable that he doesn't even have many friends much less a girlfriend.
One day, he gets a call from Tokyo and learns that Miko has died. Miko is the only woman he has ever loved in his life. It has been 19 years since he left Japan and he decides to go there with the memory of Miko in his heart. But he never knows what is waiting for him; he is about to encounter Yumi (Hirosue Ryoko), a mysterious beautiful girl and a trap of a huge web of the dangerous crime organization.

Excellent !!!!! Luc Besson's best movie!!!!

Paris: Hubert (Jean Reno) is the worst headache for the police as he always precedes the investigation rather forcibly. Finally, after he had caused the son of an important citizen to stay at hospital, Hubert had been advised to take some time out. Since Hubert is so blunt and unsociable he doesnt have (m)any friends he could share his new freedom with and thus he isn't to happy to have so much sparetime. Just in this moment, Hubert gets a call from Tokio being informed that Miko, the only woman he has ever loved and who left him 19 years ago, had died and he is asked to fly to Japan to attend the funeral. But it wouldn't be Hubert if he wouldn't mess up with some Yakuza and consequently he starts with his French police habits in Japan, ending up with a daugther, lots of dead Mafia killers and even a smile on his face. "Wasabi" is Luc Besson's and Jean Reno's best movie. It has the action we know from Luc Bessons movie "Leon" combined with a lot of humor, funny scences, and even touching moments. This movie is one of the best I have seen lately and worth its money. |

It's nice movie, great to watch at home (as someone said before me)! But it's getting a bit easy-to-guess-what-will-happen-now at the second half... Anyway Jean Reno and Ryoko Hirosue make very nice couple (I mean, they are quite funny acting together). The best scene was when Jean Reno tried to dance at Dance Dance Revolution machine, hehee~~~ ^_^ You must see that!! |

Leon 2 ?!?! Somebody's gotta be JOKING!!!
| This movie is ok... very simple storyline... it's like the "auto-pilot mode" was turned on from the beginning... the flow of the movie is sooooo smooth that it's actully a little bit boring. But if you are big fans of any of the casts or the director, try renting it if you can... AND PLEASE! This is not the sequal to LEON (The Professional). |

Great movie! I don't understand French, but I'm a big fan of Jean Reno and of course, Hirosue Ryoko! She's the best! I've never seen her speak in French before but she's just as cute speaking French as she is Japanese. I suppose that's her character coming through. :) The best scene I thought was when she was back at Teikoku Hotel with her "Papa" and doing the fashion show "Runway", she makes a great model! The second cute scene was when "Papa" was correcting the way she said "Hole" in French. She's so cute... |

I loved this movie! Jean Reno and Hirosue Ryoko are really great together, and had some of the funniest scene's I've ever seen. You won't be disappointed....... |
