Awesome!
| I thought this album is really, really good. I didn't really care for the song "Savannah Woman" but it's got a catchy beat to it. All the other songs are SO good. I have been listening to this album front to back, non-stop for the last week. I think this is one album that people won't get sick of easily. Wheesung has a very powerful voice, and he uses it VERY well. |

Disappointment
| I thought this album would at least be good but I was wrong because like one of the reviewer said, it sound's like bobby kim 2nd cd. I like wheesung but go back to making beautiful ballads and showing your voice more than doing this. |

I have just recently been getting into Wheesung and I'd have to say that this is one of the best albums. I heard the Music Video song: Love Is Delicious and didnt really care for it, however a friend of mine had just ordered the cd and I listened to it. It's excellent. 1. Love Hero (feat. J) 7/10, I like it, but it seems like a movie song or a credit song to a film. 2. My Way 8/10, this is a light song (guitars, happy song, reggae beat). I was surprised at the beginning to hear it on a Wheesung album, but it actually sounded good. ^^ 3. Love Is Delicious 3/10, didn't really care for it. It sounded like a song more suited for Super Junior. 4. Even If You Get Hurt 5/10, a nice slow song, but I didn't really like the music that went with it. (Sounded like a Olymics song like The Fighting Spirit of Dong Bang) 5. Man and Woman Inside a Car 9/10, one of the better songs. A lot of vocal repition sounds, but it sounds good. The harmony is so nice. 6. Take Care 10/10, another song that I loved. It has an old skool beat. It feels like a normal day at school song. ^^ 7. A Sudden Secret 10/10, another good song. It has a Chinese feel to it (like something from Mulan), but it sounds good, especially the verse parts. (could have picked a better chorus) 8. Savannah Woman (feat. Verbal Jint) 10/10, a GREAT song. It has a salsa rhythm and a lot of english in it. I think this song should have been used as the music video promotion. I'm sure that every comment will say that this song is the best one. 9. This Kind of Situation 10/10, a GREAT R&B groove song. I loved this as soon as I heard the first beat. This song also contains quite a bit of english (especially in the chorus and rap solo). 10. To Touch (feat. Younha) 7/10, it's a nice joint song, but I didn't really care for it. Younha's voice is to high for the song. It's like Wheesung is rapping because I don't think his voice can blend with such a high voice... 11. Tick Tock 10/10, a nice R&B song with guitar/reggae beats. His voice is at a higher octave in this song and it really goes well with the beat. 12. Stand In Front of Separation 10/10, this is my FAVORITE song on the album. His vocals are so strong and you can feel the emotion in the song... 13. Punishment 9/10, a good pop/rap song. It has a hard beat with drums and violins. It's like a stomp song (something that would be by Bi or on a movie like stomp the yard.) I bet that many dancers trying to get into the entertainment business will use this song to audition... So, in reality, I really didn't like three songs... so... All in all, I will DEFINITELY be buying this from yesasia album soon. ^^ BONUS - Against All Odds. |

Continuing My Review.......
|
There are two tracks that I like a lot. The first one is Savannah Woman which is very relaxing and seductive with its Caribbean? beats/flavor. Wheesung sounds like Rain at the beginning of the track. Don't say WOW yet! You'll see why I think Wheesung is a talented singer when you get to one third and at the end of the track, he turns into a jazz singer. There are light raps in this track which some music experts can give you better opinions of him and/or his guest artist. Track 3 is a happy song which is based on Beethoven. So, listen to it when you are mad at Wheesung for changing his style! You might forgive him!:) In case you're nostalgic of Wheesung's r&b style, Tracks 4, 12 & Tick Tock are the ones that will give you some relief. The last track shows off Wheesung's skills as a truly talented singer with his amazing vocals and the ability to capture the mood of the song. However, I was uncomfortable listening to the several accents that bother me a lot. I think that Asian artists, no matter how famous or talented they are, they have to be cautious when they sing American or British classics. Each song is case specific. And this is to Wheesung: Keep up the hard works and explore what your heart desires! I won't be surprise that you already have the answer. Wheesung Fighting! :) |

I'm Still a Big Fan!......
|
For a singer who is as talented as Wheesung, it is only inevitable that he wants to try new styles of music in his career. This CD is almost completely different from his previous ones that were mainly in r&b style. The new music are the more trendy euro beats? with raps, cross over classics, an old famous English hit song and compositions of some traditional Korean musical instruments. The sounds are totally different from the comforting ones that we were so used to earlier. Wheesung still has his unique and signature style of singing mixed in with his new songs, but 80% of his soulfulness is gone. He has become more versatile and diverse in his style, getting more mature and into the more hip and trendy popular music that probably will gain more audiences. He also experimented with the Korean traditional music instrument that sounds like a gong which I dislike greatly. Any way, I think that Wheesung is an exceptionally talented and gifted singer. He will gain new fans while losing some old ones. I'm more tolerable toward singers who are truly talented and have great voices. To me, he can do anything that he wants to. I hope that he will settle with a style that he really likes and at the same time still enjoy by us. So, get this CD and check it out yourself. My favorite tracks are Savannah Woman, Track 3, Tick Tock & Track 12. |

different sound
| This album is great, its not his typical style how ever. Its a little less of the R&B style and more like bobby kim's album w/ a kinda jazzy feel in some songs. I am one of wheesung's biggest fans because I fell in love with his R&B style, but you kinda grow into liking this new style as well. If you like Bobby Kim's second album, you will love this one, and if you were expecting something like Wheesung's second album (his best in my opinion) you will be a little dissapointed, but none-the-less, its a new Wheesung album! Rejoice. |

Go Wheesung!
Go Wheesung!
| I hope that this album is where he took the time to improve on his singing. I know he's a good singer, however, some of his 3rd and 4th album were lackful. I guess it was due from when he was in the hosptial--something about his voice or whatever from what I read from. However, I don't know if the information is 100 percent accurate. Though, I give credit for him being a great singer, just he needs to shine and show it 10xs better than how he did on his 1st and 2nd album. I really don't like listening to singers who can't live up the standard of wanting and beleiving they can sing, when they don't give it 110 percent. Wheesung can sing sing, no doubt, but make it real! Go out with a BANG! |
