Mahjong is a part of everyday life in Hong Kong, and Tallie (Anthony Chan) is sick of it. His mother was a mahjong addict, and was back at the tables moments after her wedding, right after Tallie's birth, and wasn't even with Tallie's father when he died because she was too busy shuffling mahjong tiles! As a result, Tallie absolutely demands that his future wife be averse to mahjong - but it's harder to find a girl like that in Hong Kong than you think. One day, Tallie thinks he's found his future wife in Anita (Anita Mui), since he overhears her saying that she "hates mahjong". He woos her, but soon discovers that she's more than just a mahjong player, she's a mahjong addict! She'll only give up the game if Tallie can somehow best her at the mahjong table, and he's willing to use every trick in the book - including cheating - to get her to stop! 　　The first thing one notices about Yau is his strong hatred for mahjonng. He had good reasons: his mahjong-playing mother refused to leave the gambling table to visit his father who had been robbed.
