Very cute
|
Windstruck is a very cute romantic movie, with a lot of humorous moments amidst a few sad scenes. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes romantic films; especially since the Koreans seem to have the market cornered in this area. Also, I'm one of the ones that considers this movie to be a companion to My Sassy Girl, now that I've seen it. Watch them both! |

Windstruck will BLOW you!!!
Windstruck will BLOW you!!!

I watch this because I found sassy girl so etertaining and funny. I didnt expect a love story that touches you from within. At first, this movie moves slow. But after it takes off with the story --it just never looked back. the pacing becomes more interesting and sub-cenes are really touching. For me, it the origin of the pinky PROMISE. Of course there are many other scenes you feel warmhearted about...But you have to watch in whole so get the feeling of a Love destined to fail. |

No replay value at all...
| This particular movie is a love comedy. You might think that "this one is easy" but you are mistaken, the plot has a very "heavy" (and sad) ending which in my honest opinion does not fit to the rest of the movie at all. After watching the movie I noticed that I didn't have the desire to watch it again. If it didn't have the comedy component inside then things might have been different and the entire pack would have been more "together", in my opinion this would have suited this movie better. The thing which earned two stars was the acting, both lead characters did their job brilliantly. Overall: not a bad movie but it is not plot-wise something which I find pleasing. |

the worst movie....
the worst movie....
| This is the worst movie i've ever seen, and i don't understand why so many people like it. The story is horrible and boring. THroughout the whole movie, i kept waiting for the climax, and before you knew it, it was over! Horrible. It's not a good love story, there was no development, and it was dry and completely cliched |

Not what expected
| Not what I had expected at all. The cover of the dvd is what made me tempted to get this movie. SIGH SIGH SIGH I gave this one to the waitress at the Korean restaurant I frequent. Windstruck is a tiny bit better than My Sassy Girl. The story is more coherent and understandable. The theme is rather depressing. In the beginning it is funny with Jang Hyuck and Jeon Ji Hyun. From there it went depressing and sad. And the ending is an explanation as to why and what happens in My Sassy Girl. This movie connects with My Sassy Girl. Yes My Sassy Girl came before Windstruck. But the story of Windstruck is before the story of My Sassy Girl. |

This movie was quite enjoyable, but you have to go into it with an open mind. Many parts of it are a little unrealistic, and often you wonder how much time has really passed. But I believe that the deepset emotions that pour from this film make up for any of its shortcomings. Some may say that the characters are underdeveloped, and I can't say I disagree entirely. But despite a relative obliviousness to the depth of the character, I certainly felt sympathy and understanding for them. Jeon Ji-Hyun's acting was SUPERB as usual. Jang Hyuk was charming and amusing as usual. If there is anything you can't complain about, it's the acting. I felt like the entire movie was as much of a fairy tale as the well-produced story Jeon Ji-Hyun's character told was. You can't think of it as some really relateable love story... it is merely a story about love. Love is all you have to understand (to a certain degree of course) to get this movie. As for the references to My Sassy Girl, they were quite fun, but they definetly don't match up. But Kwak Jae-Young could easily explain it as if it's like a parallel universe or a time-travel thing that connects the worlds/movies. I honestly think that this movie could have worked much better as a mini-series. Kwak Jae-Young... make us a spectacular tv show with your wonderful story-writing! |

Jeon Jae Hyun fans rejoice!
|
Jeon Jae Hyun puts in a great performance as Gyeong Jin an an emotive movie that touches the heart. Despite the silly plot, her performance is such that you really begin to feel for Gyeong Jin during the movie - to the point that you'll cry! Jang Hyuck as Myung Woo doesn't have too much to do in this movie in all honesty. The only other movie I've watched him in was Volcano High in which he was the star of the show, so this was a backseat movie for him - odd to see him without his dyed blond spikey hair! This movie is more of a showcase for Jeon Jae Hyun's talents as an actress - great for fans who loved her in My Sassy Girl and worth a watch by others seeking light hearted comedy/weepy ^____^ She's definately a rising star. The ending by Writer/Director Kwak Jae Yong doesn't disappoint either! |

Prequel to My Sassy Girl
| I watched My Sassy Girl several times before looking for more of JJH's works. Windstruck was worth all the trouble of having to purchase an all area player. I would say this movie is much like Korean dramas---an emotional rollercoaster. I have watched it several times and it has become one of my all time favorites along with the Japanese blockbuster "To be with You". Loved it. |
