電影根據1981年轟動全美駭人聽聞的四屍命案改編而成。尊荷斯(韋基馬飾)憑著十四吋那話兒，在色情界一直很吃香：由他主演的成人電影超過二千部，堪稱四仔片天王，慕名者眾，超過一萬名女子與他發生過關係。揮金如土是他的寫照，只因錢銀去得快來得更快。然而，他過氣了。收入減少支出依舊，尊荷斯頓然陷入經濟困境，偏偏這時候接觸到毒品。變賣了所有傢俱仍未能過足癮，身無分文的尊荷斯只好投靠同道損友，蛇鼠一窩盡在九反地帶。爆竊、搶劫、販毒無所不為，只因一切離不開一個「錢」字，最後竟然挑上惡名昭彰的艾迪納殊，腥風血雨，開始降臨在兩幫流氓身上……
The infamous porn king John C. "Johnny Wadd" Holmes had fallen from being the biggest star in the hardcore industry into a state of financial and pharmaceutical ruin. Holmes (Kilmer) is devoted to his teenage girlfriend Dawn (Bosworth) while still married to his wife Sharon (Kudrow) and the three form a most unconventional love triangle.
In the midst of his spiraling demise, Holmes befriends local drug dealers along with their "business partner" David Lind, who operates out of the Wonderland party house. But Holmes is out of his element in the life-and-death world of high stakes drug crime and he soon gets himself neck deep into trouble. Desperate for cash and drugs, the Wonderland gang decides to rob another dealer friend of John's - the notorious gangster Eddie Nash. Soon after the robbery, the brutal multiple murders that took place high atop Wonderland Avenue in L.A.'s Laurel Canyon occurs during the Summer of 1981. Did Holmes set up his Wonderland cohorts for murder to save himself from the wrath of Nash? It all depends on whose story you believe.
