good but not great Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
for a film that is to demonstrate the skills of wushu there is an awful lot of wire work involved but saying that they do not distracted from the over all enjoyment of the film. the new talents are very skilled at what they do and each get a chance to show of there skills some less than others.

story wise it is your typical film where some one is to win a competition but has to over come some obstacles to achieve his task; not much to shout about but it is the frame work for the wushu practitoners to show off in floor demonstrations and fight scenes. the villain of the piece is your arcetype villain he is pure evil from the day he was born and is expelled from la.....de......da........."snore".

the fight scenes are well crafted but it is the demostrations that are more entertaining for they show off there actual skills with out the aid of wires. Sammo hung crops up for the end fight but his fight is poor with him being in a harness quite often.

This movie is spoilt by its very bad DVD transfer Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
I was much looking forward to this movie, but the technical quality of the present release is quite disappointing : why would the producer choose, in this time of modern technology, to encode this movie on a DVD 5 - 4 GB disc, with the resulting lack of sharpness and brightness ?

It is like watching the movie through a milky filter. The picture is flat and boring. In fact, the transfer is so inadequate that it reminds me of cheap DVDs of the late 90's. This movie deserved better. Shame on the producers and distributors for always going for the tacky option !

I had hoped for a "Dragon Tiger Gate" type of movie, which had a perfect picture quality. This one is very far from it. Why do producers shoot themselves (and their actors) in the foot by overlooking such an obvious element : make the movie technically pleasant to watch, so that the actors can have the best chance to show their skills and succeed ...

It is sad for the boys who deserved better help from their producer !...

Nice story Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
This movie shows the importance of sports and having good friends to support you especially in times of needs. Sammo Hung still good even if his bigger and older...well a bit slow but thats understandable.

I think in this film you will see new talented youngters that can be considered the new Jackie or Jet Li. It's not a full action film if you are expecting.
