Jackie Chan serves as executive producer of Wushu - The Young Generation, starring a group of young martial artists with the potential to be the next generation of Asian action stars. Director Antony Szeto (fantasy animation Dragonblade) helms this action-packed tale of martial arts students who must face a variety of challenges as they prepare to graduate. Leading the pack of newcomers are the talented duo of Wang Wen Jie and Liu Feng Chao, both of whom accompanied Jackie Chan to the Cannes Film Festival to help promote the film. Besides Chan, the pair get an assist from another martial arts legend, Sammo Hung, who plays an honorable wushu instructor and father to one of the boys.

Wushu teacher Li Hui (Sammo Hung) is looking to shepherd his two sons Li Yi (Wang Wen Jie) and Li Er (Wang Ya Chao) through school and into manhood. Li Yi is tipped to win a hotly-contested wushu competition, but he insists on performing his late mother's signature move, which is so difficult that it could cost him the gold medal. His friends have their own trials to face, but darkness intrudes when former wushu prodigy He Le (Tie Nan) attempts to kidnap some of the wushu students, and Li Er is among the abducted. Along with Li Yi and student Yang Yaowu (Liu Feng Chao), Li Hui tracks down the villains to a secluded estate, where the teacher and his students must harness their formidable wushu training in order to save their friends and bring He Le to justice.

* 시놉시스

바람보다 빠르고 쇠보다 강한 우슈의 최고수가 탄생한다!

두 아들 리이, 리에를 데리고 어린 시절 자신이 수학했던 우슈 무술학교의 사범으로 돌아온 리 후이는 전국에서 모여든 학생들에게 우슈의 비법을 가르친다. 엄격한 규율과 혹독한 수련생활 속에서 리이, 리에, 양요우, 쟝더밍, 방방은 늘 장난을 치다 엄한 벌을 받기 일쑤인 사고뭉치들이지만, 서로에게 용기를 주며 우의를 다지고 하루하루 혹독한 수련생활을 이겨 나간다.
세월이 흘러 학교 대표로 우슈 시범대회에 참가하게 된 이들 앞에 리 후이 사범의 옛 제자이며, 현재는 유명 영화사의 스턴트맨으로 활약중인 구오난이 찾아 온다. 어려워진 집안형편으로 구오난에게 오디션을 부탁한 방방은 오디션에 합격하여 영화인의 길을 걷게 되고, 갑자기 나타난, 구오난의 우슈 무술학교 동창인 허러는 구오난에게 영화 캐스팅을 위해 무술에 능한 어린 형제의 소개를 부탁한다.
허러는 무술학교에서 가장 탁월한 실력을 보였던 수재였으나, 대련에서 상대에게 심각한 부상을 입힌 죄로 퇴학을 당한 인물 이였다. 이때, 지역에서는 아이들의 유괴사건이 연달아 발생하고, 사건의 배후에는 거대한 어둠의 조직이 등장한다. 우슈 시범대회의 결승을 앞두고, 어둠의 조직과 불가피하게 대결을 벌여야 하는 이들 앞에 놀라운 인물이 등장하는데……
