Fantastic! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I'm a huge fan of Japanese RPGs and their soundtracks (Final Fantasy/Lost Odyssey etc) and Xenogears has always been close to my heart since I played it many years ago. Before I bought the soundtrack I found it quite difficult to remember exactly what it sounded like but as I listened to it, it all came flooding back to me. It is even better than I remember, and easily stands tall when compared to more modern game soundtracks, in fact, it inspired me to re-purchase the game to play on my old Playstation! Xenogears is one of the finest games I've ever played and the soundtrack, although getting on a bit, is still one of the greatest game soundtracks to date, and I would recommend it to all who played the game.

My favourite game soundtrack Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I don´t have that many game soundtracks (yet), but I know Xenogears will be my favourite ever. Almost every single background piece features a unique melody, and those melodies are accompanied by the prettiest of music. A lot of playstation soundtracks usually have “fake sounding” music (Suikoden and Final Fantasy for example), but on this soundtrack the music sounds so real. I have a lot of favorites here. “Bonds of Sea and Fire” , it’s a “quiet” piece of music with a “flute”. This is just too beautiful; the melody really makes the song special. “Shattering eggs of dreams” plays many times when the characters are saddened, this starts out as a piano-piece like song, and in the chorus the beautiful flute returns. Also a song that is lovely. “Gathering Stars in the Night Sky”, is the theme of a character called Maria, her story is very sad, and so is this piece of music. It´s so beautiful. The cutest song on the CD is “The sky, clouds and you”, it´s a very free-spirited kind of song that I believe was played at the orphanage of the game. The song is just fun to listen to, and it´s pretty. The ending theme is also beautiful, called “Small two of pieces ~restored pieces~”. Joanne Hogg sings this song, and she was also singing the ending theme for Xenosaga. This song has a special place in my heart, it´s one of those songs you hear and then you remember it. I don´t think this song would be so great if it wouldn´t be for Joanne Hoggs beautiful voice. This soundtrack is great, and I highly recommend it.

Classic Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
If you're going to buy only one game music cd, make sure it's Xenogears. Seriously, this set is REALLY special. I remember when it went out of print and I was just getting into the game; after buying it, one part of my must-haves has been complete, and I am happy about that.
