The acting was good. Some parts I didn't understand but it was interesting and the scenery was pretty. I might pay thirty dollars if I had that much. My only complaint is that it was kind of sad. : '(

The whole story seemed like it was a bit rushed and some parts were dragged on too long. A lot of the movie I had to close my eyes throughout because of all the kissing. I mean people would be standing there talking and then all of a sudden there was kissing [bleck]. I do like it better than when I first watched it but that was because I was only 8 and a didn't understand government business and I had trouble following the story [it didn't help that I fell asleep.] Save your money and buy Return of the Condor Heroes, Xiao Ao Jiang Hu, or A Chinese Odyssey 2002. The ending was also kind of as my dad put it "depressing".

They just totally made up Athena Chu and Gillian Chung's character. For most of the story the reader is supposed to think that Hu Fei is dead. They totally messed up Ruolan's [Orhid's]character. She is supposed to be a well mannered, polite, calm young lady. As my mom put it "I haven't read the story but everything seems super dramatized." Fei isn't supposed to meet Orchid until he is 27 and she is 17. He is supposed to be gruff looking with course hair and a beard. The Poison King is totally made up [I wonder if Chung's senior is supposed to be the Sign like sharacter?] Phoenix the Knight Errant [Ruolan's father] isn't supposed to become blinded. At first I didn't know how they could make a whole series out of such a short book but now I know that they just added on a million parts. Sorry for ranting for so long but I just really don't like it at all.

Dragon [Xiao Long Nu] sounds like she's at least 30 and what's up with the English accent. Yang Guo sounds like a dope in this version. I also heard that he died at the end which doesn't happen in any other TV version or the book. The drawings aren't too great either and all the characters look weird. Also what's up with the green and purple hair with Hong Ling Bo and Li Mo Cho. They changed some minor parts too. I don't really like anime I guess. Might be okay if you really love anime. The storyline was pretty closely followed.
Now the bad:
THE COSTUMES WERE HORRIBLE!!! Why was everyone wearing bright colors? Everything looked like it was made of polyester. The Mongolians were wearing bright orange and black plastic suits for Pete's sake. The set was horrible. The supposed glaciers looked just like Styrofoam [ I wonder why]. The hairstyles were just weird and some of the acting wasn't great either.
SORRY BUT DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!

Also the names in the book aren't written in pinyin instead they are like Fox, Orchid, Radiant, Curio, Tree, and Valour. I don't know mandarin so I am afraid that I won't be able to recognise the characters.

I have only watched 4 disks so far but it is SO different. Some things that they changed I like but some I don't. The casting is pretty good particularly the actress for Ren Ying Ying and the actor for Ling Hu Chong. I didn't like how Ling Hu Chong's fights with the Sacred Lady. In the book he doesn't even know that there is such thing as the Sacred Lady. I didn't like the scene where he first found out that Ying Ying was an old lady because it was much better in the book how he saw her reflection in the water. I hope that they don't mess up the story. Jin Yong ROCKS! The book version called The Smiling, Proud Wanderer or Blood Cold and Hot Proud is SO GREAT. It is my favorite Wuxia book. My second favorite being LOCH and my 3rd is ROCH.

The only thing I don't like about this game is sometimes there are glitches were you get stuck and have to start the level all over again. Another problem I have is making it out of the library because I always make it out with like 2 seconds left and I says that I didn't make it. I don't know; maybe I'm doing something wrong. All around a superb game!!!
