I don't write reviews often, but had to log in to write one for this absolutely amazing album. I'll first say that I don't understand Cantonese (or Mandarin) so I can't comment about the lyrics unfortunately, but the music and vocals = aces! I'm not even the biggest fan of most Cantonese music, but a friend sent me some samples and I LOVED what I heard and here I am purchasing it lol. They have a really nice rock sound that's similar to some American alternative rock groups. And there's something I love about their vocalist's voice; I don't know how to describe it, but he sounds... earnest (?) when he sings. The way he punctuates all his lines with emotion <3. The overall production quality of this album is superb! I love every single song on this album and that doesn't happen to me that often! But if I were forced to pick favorites: 一百萬人的故事 (track 1), 別說話 (track 6 + the Mandarin version track 13), 沒有這天使 (track 12), 我需要什麼 (track 3), 沒有你的假期 (track 8). :) Check them out, you won't regret it! This is goooood rock out music. |
