マイク（エルヴィス・プレスリー）とダニー（ゲイリー・ロックウッド）はセスナで空の便利屋を営んでいたが、ギャンブル好きのダ二ーが作った借金がかさみ、商売道具の飛行機が差し押さえられてしまう。一文無しになってしまった二人はヒッチハイクで世界博覧会が開催されているシアトルへ向かう。道中で７才の女の子スーリン（ビッキー・チュー）と仲良くなったマイクは彼女に博覧会会場を案内する事になるが、そこで美人看護婦のダイアン（ジョーン・オブライエン）に一目惚れし、猛烈なアタックを開始する。一方ダ二ーは大金が手に入る仕事を見つけるのだが…。１９６２年シアトル世界博覧会でロケーションされた、貴重な映像！博覧会会場内でのエルビスの歌や彼のウクレレ等、ミュージカル要素も楽しめる。
