Hundred Flowers Awards

The history of the Hundred Flowers Awards can be traced back to 1962, although the awards suffered from an extended suspension during the Cultural Revolution. Organized by the magazine Popular Cinema, the Hundred Flowers Awards are the only major event in Mainland China's film industry where winners are selected by a viewers' poll.
