YesAsia 2013 Bestsellers - Chinese Music

Written by YumCha! Editorial Team Tell a Friend

K-pop is fast taking over C-pop on our album sales chart by occupying the top four spots, three of which belong to SM Entertainment darling EXO whose first full-length album XOXO has sold over a million. Super Junior-M is the runner-up with Break Down. Taiwan's Jay Chou won the fifth spot with ease with Opus 12, which had also ranked high on the 2012 chart. Jacky Cheung followed closely behind, and the video release of his 1/2 Century Tour also topped the concert list. Bestseller regulars Show Luo, Eason Chan and Raymond Lam were neck-and-neck in the count, taking over the last three places on 2013's top ten album sales list.

The top five best-selling concerts were dominated by Hong Kong singers such as Sally Yeh, Raymond Lam and Joseph Koo's all-star showcase, while Taiwan diva A-Mei made it to number five with her AmeiZing World Tour. Rainie Yang, Jolin Tsai and Sodagreen were also among the top ten concert sellers of the year.

The below rankings are based on Chinese music sales on YesAsia.com from January 1 to December 31, 2013. Sales of all editions and versions of the same title are summed up to determine the total sales.
