17歳の時にデモテープを送ったものの連絡先を書き忘れ、その歌声に魅了されたスタッフにより捜し出されたという逸話を持つ女性シンガー・信近エリ。2004年12月にシングル「Lights」でデビューを果たし、2005年12月には1stアルバム「nobuchikaeri」をリリース。本作は、そのアルバムからのシングルカット曲「夢のかけら」のDVDシングル。アルバム収録曲中で最も美しく壮大なナンバーであり、映像は世界的に話題となった「THE ANIMATRIX」を始めとする数々の作品を手掛けるSTUDIO4℃が楽曲にインスパイアされて制作したオリジナル・アニメーションとなっている。
